Royal Genie bringing you alcoholic drinks to stateroom

Hi, a quick question for those who may know the answer and have done Star Class.

Is it possible to ask Royal Genie to bring an alcoholic drink like a Pina Colada to your stateroom if you are sailing Harmony of the Seas? I've read that Royal Genie can bring you drink (like a coffee) whenever you request but not sure if that is true for alcoholic beverages. Star class comes with the alcohol package so would the Genie be able to get a drink from one of the bars and bring it to you?

Thanks in advance.

Technically, yes.  Although, it would likely be someone else who makes the delivery and not the actual genie.  It could also take a while to be delivered depending on how quickly the genie sees/knows of your request, orders it, and then it gets delivered.  Much quicker just to walk to the closest bar and order one as you can basically get any drink anywhere on the ship.  The bartenders typically don't even run your card once they see your purple seapass and will just ask for the room number

Yes, they most definitely can do that. They arrange for room service to deliver it. We have had mixed drinks (like Pina Colada and Margaritas) and liquor (shots of Patron and whiskey) delivered many times. I agree with @I_Love_RCI though, the mixed drinks melt a bit by the time they get to you so sometimes it's easier to go get it yourself, especially if you are on Deck 17.

I also found that once the genie knew our favorite drinks they kept “appearing” in our suite whenever we got back from somewhere without our even asking. Our one star class cruise created an obsession with virgin pina coladas for my 12-year-old. He got one everywhere he went on the ship, and one afternoon we were watching a movie in the main theatre and i saw him texting and a few minutes later our genie walked in with pina coladas for my son and the couple of friends he had made on the ship. I told my son that was maybe a bit much! 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

This is true. One of our Genies was known to "over feed" people lol. The shots of Patron Anejo never stopped coming all sailing.

The Genies also talk to each other. Ordered one random Fireball shot on a SC cruise, 8 months later on a different SC cruise and different ship, we kept getting deliveries of Fireball shots to the room 😂 never once ordered Fireball on that cruise!

True!  And I hope to prove it true again in about 20 days😂

81 days for me! But then we will have experienced it on all 5 Oasis class ships, so we can start over again..haha.

I’m jealous- we still have only done Oasis, Harmony and Allure. A couple multiple times though. But at least for the next one we’re going back to the RL on Allure where this nonsense all began!  I’ll let you know if the Jack Daniels is waiting!

Funny you mention that. I was just thinking yesterday that other than sailing in the RLS, I now have another cruise goal to sail SC on all the oasis class ships. I am missing SY and WN. I think it might be attainable. Hubby does not know about this new cruise goals haha.

  • 10 months later...

So, we just took a 7 day Alaska Cruise on NCL. We were in a suite within the Haven, and I had bottle service to my room. Upon arrival, I had my bourbon, vodka and scotch, my wife had her bottled wine choice as well. I fail to understand why RC does not offer to stock the mini bar with alcohol, especially when Star class guests are paying huge sums of money for their suites.
