Refundable and non refundable obc

On my last cruise I had extra OBC near the end of my cruise.  I went into the casino and pulled my OBC into a slot machine from my on-board account.  I then cashed out the machine and took the ticket to the cashier.  She gave me my cash.

Note:  You just have to be strong enough to not play the machine.

My last cruise I had both. The non-refundable did seem to get used first. I had something like $4.76 left in refundable and decided it wasn't worth the wait at Guest Services to find out what would happen (since I'm pretty new at this), so I just left it. It was refunded to my credit card on file automatically. Not sure if this is how it always works, but that's what happened in my case.

If you have both refundable and non refundable obc, does the non refundable get used first? Will the refundable go back to your credit card if it was an RC credit card that the refundable obc came from?

Thanks.

Note: If part of the OBC is assigned to another guest, make sure that guest uses his/her Seapass -- that is how it gets charged.  When my son and his girlfriend shared OBC, he made the mistake of always using his SeaPass, so her non-refundable OBC was lost because it was never used.

When I inquired I was told the non-refundable OBC would be used first and once it was gone then the refundable OBC would be consumed.

I think you have all the answers to my questions.  Thanks.
