jopibaconpants
My wife and I just booked the Symphony of the Seas cruise for December 8, 2018 going to St. Kitts, St. Thomas, and Nassau on an Ocean View Balcony Room. I really wanted the Thanksgiving weekend, but Uncle Sam needs me to come in for duty. But nevertheless, I'm way too excited! WAAAYTOOO
I booked a western Carrib itin for Thanksgiving week. Had to book the Royal Loft. Only Star Class left (for 2 pax). Strange that it's a Friday-Friday itin. I don't think I've ever seen that for a standard 7 night cruise. I tried to book a Star Class on the Transatlantic but they were already gone (those that could be booked with just 2 pax). I am soooooo happy to see that they are making some mods to the standard east and west Carrib itins. Mine is going to Roatan, Costa Maya (YAY !), Coz and Nassau (spa day for me). I would MUCH rather have had Labadee instead of Nassau but at least they are trying to mix it up a little. WAHOO !!
Matt
One bit of advice for anyone that booked last night, I noticed my C&A balcony discount was not applied at the time of booking. I called back today and had it applied. Double check what you have booked to ensure it's there, and if not, call back to have it applied. Now I remember why I use a travel agent to book these things! :P

Now if the Casino folks would only get the discounts in their system I'd be set. Not talking about the play certificate/$ amount discount. I thought the November 17th sailing was over your Thanksgiving. I believe that is a Saturday. Of course I'm using a Canadian callender, may be some conversion needed, lol. RBRSKI
OK, I need help on this topic. We are going on the Navi in 8 days and I was wondering if I can wait until I get on board 3/17 to book the Thanksgiving cruise on the Symphony or should I do it now? You can do it either way but as I mentioned that particular cruise seems to be booking up fast. If I were you, I would book now to get the room you want and then after you move up a notch w/C&A you can call and rebook and get your new balcony discount. The danger of doing this is that the base price on your cruise might go up or they might change the prevailing promo in a way that doesn't work to your advantage but as least you're assured of getting the room you want. We created a FB event for our sailing: https://www.facebook.com/events/1114832191961976/ Quick question. We are going on Liberty this April. Can we rebook this cruise at the My Next Cruise office? If so, would we receive any perk from them? After that, would I be able to transfer this reservation to MEI to be part of the group cruise? And if so, would I retain any bonuses I may get? You should be able to at the very least re-price on Liberty and if cheaper/better deal, book it and then cancel what you have. And yes, MEI would be able to roll it (back) into the group. NextCruise essentially gets you free money(onboard credit) on top of whatever promo they are running at the time. So you would retain the regular promotion + NextCruise bonus. Jerel
I just gave my deposit to MEI, it's official! Actually adding it to my signature feels like I'm really making it official. Cabin 10605, central park view. We tried a CP balcony before and liked it but this time I feel like we're better located, more centered looking at where the musicians set up near the skylight that looks down into promenade. DunkelBierJay
They have my money from right after Matt's scope the other night and MEI is taking it over once Brock gets back tomorrow....I'm skeered...taking my kids who are getting an OV with balcony and my wife and I are getting a CP balcony....that's a lot of money even though I've seen the price go up and staterooms get gobbled up. I will have to re-price it often to feel like I got a deal... Jerel

WhiteSoxFan
Excited! I just booked. Ocean balcony on deck 11, port side just aft of the elevators. WhiteSoxFan
On another note, is it just me or are there ridiculously few cabins available for this Thanksgiving cruise? Not many balcony cabins of any type it seems.
Matt
On another note, is it just me or are there ridiculously few cabins available for this Thanksgiving cruise? Not many balcony cabins of any type it seems. It's the first full US sailing and it's over a holiday. On the flip side, I think a lot of people booked it just to have a placeholder. I suspect there will be some cancellations going forward, especially closer to final payment.

Some of the events are exclusive to those who booked through MEI, so I'd recommend transferring your reservation over. Also, keep in mind that you only have 60 days from the date that you made the reservation to make the transfer. WAAAYTOOO
I wonder if this has anything to do with their inventory control. They might be holding some inventory back since rooms are going so quickly for this sailing,

Thanks for your help. Welcome aboard the group and thank you for supporting our sponsor! I wonder if this has anything to do with their inventory control. They might be holding some inventory back since rooms are going so quickly for this sailing, I think part of what's happening is people placed holds without deposits and eventually, those holds disappear if a deposit is not made. Sailor_to_Cruiser
I broke down and booked the inaugural cruise on Symphony for 21 April 2018. Gotta fly to Barcelona for it but hey - It's a Cruise! When I try to go into the "My Cruises", Symphony isn't even listed so I cannot yet add my reservation to get a countdown.
