Done
I generally give a cash tip to the bartender when leaving the bar for dinner. Now that I think about it is not uncommon to have been served by multiple bartenders. Some go on dinner break while other return from break. If I leave a tip when I leave, is that tip shared by entire team?
twangster
Many bars have a tip container what the bar staff will put any tips. Implies they are pooled. Done
Qeyton Dude
Mixed bag, your mileage may vary. I've seen tip containers used, and I've seen it pocketed, even with the jar in sight. I believe in concept they are shared tips, but people are people.
CruisingNewb
I was told by the bartenders that they pool tips.
Done
I saw money put in the shirt pocket too. I think from now on I'll tip per round and not one larger tip before I leave the bar.

Yes, I saw this at Boleros on the Mariner last month.
CruiseGus
it is up to the bar tenders and what ever agreement they have made with each other, therefore it can be different at different bars or even between shifts. Example in Suite lounge on one ship they pooled, on another ship they did not. In one bar the bar tenders working the bar pooled among themselves, but the waiters bar servers were on their own. Now all of this only applies to CASH tips. All Gratuity from the package, individual drinks purchased, and any extra written on the receipts goes into the Beverage Dept common pool. At the casino bar on Harmony the pooled tips were in a bucket, in a cabinet under the back counter. Saw the bartender put some tips in there when he had a moment. My guess was since it didn’t appear to be easy to access he pocketed tips until a lull. When I asked to break a 20 at one point they brought out the bucket and made the switch. If you tip when handing them your SeaPass to process, it's efficient to drop the tip in the jar. If you hand them the tip when they bring back the card, it makes sense to put it in their pocket and take the next guest's order.
