Meangreen
We are leaving on our first cruise in just under two weeks on Independence of the Seas. One of our group is a e cig user and is trying to figure out where the smoking locations (other than the casino) are located on the ship. We couldn’t find them on the deck plans. Any help please? He wants to call RC so I’m trying to save him an hour on the phone.
Pattycruise
There’s no need to call. He can ask when he boards. The ships I’ve been on it’s typically near the pool, I just never recall if it’s port or starboard side. I also believe one ship I was on had smoking on another deck as well. (it was not Independence) I’d prefer to not speculate which deck so I don’t give bad info.
twangster
The Cruise Compass section on this website has many Cruise Compasses that previous cruisers have sent in after their cruise. Smoking areas are always listed on the cruise compass. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/cruise-compass?ship=276 Pattycruise

OrlandoDad
I just got off Independence of the Seas and can confirm the information Twangster gave is correct. He does not need to spend an hour on the phone with RC....would likely not get the right information anyway.
Sharla
It's always the area I decide to walk through and I always forget. Pattycruise and USCG Teacher 1
The Fox
Also, on the day they are refueling, they will close the regular smoking area, but usually open up another. eg: Deck 15 Port Side on Oasis was closed for smoking on embarkation day, but they opened up Deck 16 Starboard side.
