Specialty Dining Length

Recommended Posts

Just sailed Allure out of For Lauderdale. It was a last minute booking - like 3w before sail date. It's been my experience that ships are slow to post the daily schedule in the app so it makes it hard to plan dining and shows. By the time I could access specialty restaurant booking, everything was full. This was my first RCL cruise in a long time so, I just might not be tuned into timing for show and dining reservations. If you're far enough out from your sail date, seating for both show and dining my be available. But, yes, I'd be looking at 6pm dining for 8:15 shows.

I am looking to book a reservation at 150 Central Park on Oasis. I also want to make reservations for Aqua80 that night. The show is at 8:15pm. What time should I make my reservation for? I'm not sure how long dinner at 150 Central Park (or any specialty restaurant) may take...

The time all depends on you.  I am a solo traveler and I got out of 150 Central Park in 40 minutes.  I do not eat bread and I am not there talking so the waiter pushes my meal along.  Now two nights later in Chops there was two other couples I knew next to me and we talked all the way through dinner.  That dinner took me 2 1/2 hours because we took time eating and the waiter knew we were enjoying good company.

So the short of this story is you can push the dinner along if you let your wait staff know.
