MyVEGAS Slots Rewards - how to redeeem?

Recommended Posts

I searched this blog and saw an earlier discussion about how to redeem rewards from the MyVEGAS Slots mobile app, but I couldn't understand the details.

My question: When can I redeem an reward from the app? I have enough Loyalty Points to get $100 in Onboard Credit. The terms say:

Reward must be used within 90 days of purchase.

I purchased a cruise this week (June), but it doesn't sail until November.

Does "used" mean used on the ship? Or do they mean I have to turn loyalty points into the reward within 90 days of the cruise purchase?

If I have to use them on the ship within 90 days of the cruise purchase, I can't do that, since I purchased the cruise more than 90 days before the cruise.

You can redeem the award once you have a reservation number and you are less than 90 days from your cruise I believe.  Once you purchase it.  You will get an email that you must send full name and reservation number.  Then in a few days they will let you know it has been added to your account.  Then you should be able to log into the cruise planner and see your $100 reward for pre-purchase items or to use on board the ship.

You have to apply the reward in 90 days, but it can't be used on a cruise that was booked more than 30 days ago. The last criteria is that the cruise must be within a 12month time frame. So if you booked June 3rd, got the rewards on the 15th, and sails on Nov 13th; you can either forward to your TA to apply or call the number. They will apply it to the reservation and it will show up in the cruise planner as OBC.

Sorry, my brain is very literal and I'm not following some of the references.

"Once you purchase it." - what does "it" refer to in that sentence? The cruise? The reward? Something else?

I've already purchased the cruise, but have not received an email saying I must send my name and reservation number. They already know that info.

I assume TA is a travel agent? I don't have one of those.

What number would I call?

Yes, a travel agent equals TA, I wasn't sure if you booked yourself. So, disregard that.

When you get an email with your redemption code there will be a number listed. That will be the number you call to get the OBC applied. You will need your reservation number for the cruise to give to the representative when you call.

Thanks!

So I can go ahead and redeem the reward in the MyVEGAS app now? Even though my cruise isn't for five months? That's the part I'm confused about.

I was able to have this reward applied to my cruise! Thanks everyone. I'm adding a note in case anyone else is confused by the language they use in the future.

When the MyVEGAS app says:

"Reward must be used within 90 days of purchase."

The word "purchase" refers to the act of converting loyalty points (in the app) into a reward.

You can accumulate loyalty points in the app just by letting slot machines spin (lowest bet in Lucky Pinata and Rapid Gold had a very even payout for me). There's a maximum time to accumulate loyalty points each day.

Once you reach 50,000 loyalty points (it took me less than a week), you convert them to a $100 on-board credit reward. The app asks for your email address and name. You get an email with 5 questions about contact and cruise info. You send the answers to clubroyale@rccl.com. It looks like a real person reviews them and applies the credit to your cruise. The credit shows up in the header at the top of the cruise planner web page.

It's a pretty easy way to get a $100 discount.

Anyone know if you can add the OBC to a cruise that was comped through Club Royal? Hate to cash out the rewards and not be able to use them within the allowed time frame.

You'll have to check the T&C, as some booking types are restricted from adding the OBC reward to the cruise. Since it's a casino add on to apply the OBC, a comped cruise through them might be a restriction to the T&C

It looks like the $50 free play is less restrictive than the $100 OBC and you may be able to use that reward if the OBC doesn't work out with . Also, the only timeline restriction for the free play reward is that it has to be redeemed 30 days or more prior to sailing.

The $50 free play could very well be less restrictive (aside from where it can be redeemed on board) than the $100 OBC since it's over twice the rewards points to redeem, so trade off of more points for less fine print about use.

Thank you! This is exactly the information I have been searching for. It is my first time redeeming for the $100 OBC.

I do have a question, how long did you have to wait for the email after you redeemed the 50K points on the app? It has been two days for me and I still did not get the email.

Mine was sent within minutes (to within the hour, I didn’t check until a bit later). Maybe check spam/junk folders, and confirm the redemption actually happened in the “redeemed” section of the app. One time there was a glitch in my redemption and it wasn’t actually redeemed, but all redemptions show in the redeemed section across all the family of apps.

Thank you! I checked all folders and nada. The redemption is in my wallet so I'm unsure what happened. I emailed Playstudios support for either a refund of my points or to resend the purchase email. Thanks again!

My husband and I each have separate MyVegas Slots accounts.  Can we each redeem points for the same cruise?

Yes but they have to be the same. That means if you choose OBC, he has to as well. They won't allow one of you to do OBC and another to get freeplay.

I played this darned game just to get the points for the cruise and got the following reply when my TA tried to redeem it.

Thank you for reaching out to Royal Caribbean’s Club Royale regarding your cruise on the Wonder of the Seas, departing XX/XX/2023, in reservation number XXXXXXX. We are unable to apply the MyVegas offer XXXXXXfor the $150 Freeplay. MyVegas offers cannot be applied to group bookings. In addition, this booking past final payment and was created more than 30 days ago, which also disqualifies it for the offer.

---------------

Irritated as this cruise isn't coming up until October and it's for my family, not a group booking.

Ugh.

It's possible that it's still a group booking.  Don't have enough info to know.

You seem to be disqualified for 2 reasons though the second being that you are beyond the threshold of your booking being at least 30 days old and being past the final payment date which for an October Wonder cruise would have been in July.

Sorry that it didn't work out.
