The Fox
During our trip to the ABC Islands in August on Mariner, the first two port days we don't have to be back to the ship until 10 or 11 PM. What hours might the casino have on those days?
tonyfsu21
If I recall correctly the casino is open while ported in Aruba & Curaçao. It’s been awhile though but heading back on Odyssey for Thanksgiving this year!

Swar
We had an 11 PM departure out of Haines, Alaska. They did not open the casino on Radiance that night.

It’s not really a matter of wanting to be closed. The cruise line is required to formalize an agreement with the islands government to pay them a certain percentage of the casino revenue while ported & open so that they do not cannibalize the land based casinos revenue. Aruba happens to have casinos. The Fox

Different port, different rules. We are headed out in September to the southern Caribbean so it is good to hear that they are choosing to open the casino while in port, since some of our party like to gamble and will not fully utilize the long port time. We were surprised in March to see the casino open at some of the port stops on the Wonder. Guessing that Royal didn’t care so much in the past but now even a percentage of the casino revenue is better than 100% of no casino revenue. LCWind
During our port stops last week, the casino did not open until 11:30 pm (1 hour after we left Aruba) and at 10:30pm (1 hour after we left Curacao)!!! WAAAYTOOO

So my experience was Casino closed during port visit. ScooterScott22
