Best RCL Employee

Swar

Recommended Posts

Sergio, casino host Radiance OTS (formerly on the Brilliance OTS), is the BEST employee that I have encountered in all of my cruises. He is personable, passionate, and professional. He made sure our cruising experience was fantastic. I plan to write an actual letter to RCL about him.

Does anyone else have that one special employee?

To be honest, all my encounters, actual encounters, person to person, with crew members have been great.  There are a few standouts that I, unfortunately, can't remember their names, now.  However, on the Ovation last month, Eleanor, our Suite Steward/attendant was the best, no question.

In the Coastal Kitchen there was a group of about 3 servers, the maître d and assistant maître d that were just the best.  They swarmed over us and couldn't do enough to make us happy.  They got to know us, by name and what we wanted.  As soon as we, our party of 4, entered the restaurant they would start scrambling to get what they knew we wanted, a Bloody Mary for me, my wife like cheese rolls, and whatever was our standard fare, this was from day one.  Again, I just can't remember their names.  But, I did mention all of them by name on my post cruise survey.

I'm a big fan of Royal's crew!

I continue to take pics of their name tags along the way. It helps a great deal when trying to remember a name I am unfamiliar with. When I tell them why I am snapping their name tag they usually beam, and for sure include their name and station on the after cruise survey.

On the Allure in Coastal Kitchen Leo our server & Bikram head server.

Both were true stand outs.

Junior Allen the suites concierge was a genie in training, a very kind & gentle soul, yet understated pit bull.

This is a great idea! I will do the same on my next cruise.

I second Junior! Is he on Allure now? We were with him and Conrad in the suite lounge on serenade last august in Alaska. He is amazing and glad to see he is moving up the ranks!

@Cruiser4Life yes, Junior is now on the Allure as the suites concierge! His partner was a young lady who seemed a nice partner for him but he was the one that was "working it" always I didn't see her or interact with her that much. I can't remember her name. He was up and about she sat at the desk working on the computer. The behind the scenes one I'm sure.

I also take pictures of the name tags and include their names in my post cruise review. There are just so many who really go above and beyond in providing excellent service on a regular basis. Also, I’ll ask them the correct pronunciation of their name…and add that as a note (phonetically) to their name tag photo…and memorize it. I like to address them by their real name rather than the nickname that they use to make it easier for passengers. They seem to really appreciate it…😁

Has anybody had or remember Marla, a Genie.  She was our first Genie several years ago.  We all really liked her.  Last I heard she was on the Wonder not sure if she was on it in Europe or here in the U.S., or both.  We really want to cruise with her again.   It's too bad that their schedules aren't published.  I understand why not, but it's too bad.
