Printing Sea Pass (Advice)

Recommended Posts

First, regardless of whether its 2022 and everyone has a smart phone, it is a good idea to have paper back ups.  Case in point, we were at a baseball game last week and there were signs everywhere indicating "cashless" venue.  I took cash.  The Stadium was PACKED for the first time in a long time due to a special event.  The Wi-Fi went down.  No food, beverage, or goods vendor could make a transaction.  Technology is NOT FOOL PROOF.  I already ordered food and could not pay.  They held my food.  I offered cash. My family was the only family eating in our row.

Here is your tip of the day:

When printing your Set Sail Pass, if you print in portrait mode, it is three pages and cuts off your actual pass into two pages.  Put the printing preference in landscape mode and print only the third page. Bingo.

Another option that works is to do a web capture of just the Set Sail Pass and past it into either Word or PowerPoint for printing. This has the added advantage of easy access if you find that you need to print again at the last minute (assuming you save the file).

Yes! But one bit of warning on using Print screen or web capture, it will also capture the tabs of all of the internet pages that are active.  So, close out porn sites so the tabs don't show.😆

I use the option to select JUST the piece I need. Nothing else from the page is captured.

Good advice.  I always print out everything (I know, not very ecological of me, and I don't care) and take it with me.  I always seem to have a folder that is about an inch thick with everything that has transacted (from our TA and from Royal) with that cruise, everything from emails to invoices to excursions purchased/canceled, packages purchased/canceled, COVID Test purchased and results, etc etc etc.

I do the same thing, backup hard copies can come in handy!

I print out everything, including email too!  I would rather have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.  My DH teases me saying that I have lists for my lists - probably a fairly accurate statement....

Me, too -- drives my DH crazy!! Problem is, by nature I am not a very organized person, so I need those lists to make sure everything is done. I, too, am of the school of - better to have and not need, than to need and not have!

Ohhhh, please tell me how to do this.

I just checked us in today on the APP and when you view the set sail pass it ask you if you want it in your apple wallet.  It was able to put all of ours in my apple wallet.  It worked like Delta on their boarding passes!  I was doing my happy dance.  I did however, print them out also and I like to have my paper trail.

Oh my gosh. This is so cool. Unfortunately, we're on an interporting cruise, and can't use the app. Enjoy your cruise.

We have been cruising every month since last August and ALWAYS have a printed copy of our documents. The folks checking us in have thanked us every time and we have breezed through to the ship while other were fumbling through their phones. Do not get me wrong, I have all the latest high tech devices and am a big techie for work BUT after poor WIFI at the terminal and swiping through multiple screens I discovered it was not me with the issue, it was the person checking us in. These folks were looking for the PRINTED COVID negative test result to highlight it with their marker and they just could not do that on my phone screen (snicker from the old days of "whiteout" on the computer screen). The next person that was checking us in was looking for that highlighted page and we had to start over and go over everything again since it was not printed out. Now we have it printed and organized and we almost do not stop walking during our check in from start to finish.

  • 4 months later...

Some stores like Staples will allow you to print using your phone.  This is what I had found from a Staple website but I am sure other print shops offer something similar:

Print from your mobile device

Here’s how:

Step 1:

Email your document to [email protected] and expect a confirmation email.

Step 2:

Select “Print,” then “Email” on any one of our in-store self-serve machine’s touch screens.

Step 3:

Enter or scan your 8-digit confirmation barcode from your email and start printing.
