When You First Board....

Recommended Posts

If you plan on having dinner in the main dining room find out which table you are assigned to and find it. You'll find your table and deck numbers on your seapass card and they can also be found on the app. If you don't like the table you are assigned to for whatever reason you can request to have it changed. Most of the time they will be able to change it for you. The earlier you request a table change the easier it can be to have it done.

NOW, thanks to E-Muster, we get that done and out of the way.  We follow that up with a first drink at a bar in close proximity to our muster station!

Then it's off to eat lunch while we post some nice onboard "vacation envy" pictures to our social media accounts to make our family and friends jealous! 😄

Be sure you download the Royal App so you can do parts 1&2 while you're standing in line to board. Once on-board report to your muster station. 😎

This is exactly what we did in January. Did the in-app portions in the "wait to board" area. When we got onboard, we simply walked to our muster station, checked-in with the staff there. DONE!

We've got an 11AM boarding time for our sail on the 25th on Explorer.  First stop is the specialty restaurants to get our 3 slots set up.  Then the Windjammer, then the first bar we come across.  Rooms usually open around 1-2, so drop off carry-on bags in the room, unpack if big bags have arrived, then back to the nearest bar.  We'll get to the muster station sometime during that sequence.

23 days...tick, tick.

Once allowed, muster is the priority.  Don't be one of those people who wait til the last minute and get called out over loudspeaker.  it takes 1 min to do.

Remember to connect to ships WIFI so you can book all reservations. Usually that means you have to login to your account or create a new account.

After that, grab a drink and go make reservations at specialty dining because those can book up fast.  On my last trip, the app was showing those restaurants as sold out, which was obviously a glitch, so do it in person.

then you can reserve entertainment as you start planning out your week, while you get lunch.

cabins don't usually open up until after 1pm, so hopefully you have a carry on with your bathing suit and go sit by the pool or jacuzzi and relax.

Yup…we complete ours either early morning of the day we board or on the ride over to the port.  First thing on board is hurrying to the muster station and finalizing the process.  There…it’s done…no more interruptions!  Super easy.
