Johnstewarth
My brother-in-law is on the Quantum Facebook group for the June 13 sailing and sent me this photo of the Cruise Compass on the day the ship was docked in Victoria, BC. Apparently, somehow the rule is that only one bar per deck is allowed to operate when the ship is in port. I've never heard of that before; has anyone else? CGTLH
I've seen it before on a Canada/New England sailing on Anthem while docked in Canadian ports.
twangster
Sounds like something Canada would implement. Poolside, teddy, JBC and 3 others 1 4
FireFishII
You would think that having multiple bars open per deck would reduce the lines and crowds, thus lessening the changes of catching COVID or a cold or something. But that would require common sense and we know that governments are usually lacking it. Pattycruise and Allen2
twangster
Just leaving Victoria. This insane policy is pretty impactful. All aboard time was 9:30pm so all 4,200 guests are on board and there are two bars open. Schooner Bar or Boleros and both are slammed with 20 to 30 minute waits for a drink. The indoor pool bar was an option until it closed at 10pm. Time to bypass Canada permanently. Landoncat
Does anyone know if this rule impacts onboard specialty restaurants (can I still get their specialty drinks) while the ship is in Victoria BC? Thanks
