Free trip from playing a Facebook game MyVegas

MyVegas just opened up a couple of new rewards. Resort World in Bimini, and Couples resort in Jamaica, both have low and high reward point premiums. As a native of South Florida, I am very tempted to splurge and hit that 1 million point weekend with the wife. I remember going to Bimini as a child and it would be nice to return. (Oh, for those that watch "The Bachelor"  that resort was featured this season. (or at least I was told that by my wife)

I also play MyVegas Slots on Facebook and on mobile devices.

I visit http://www.myvegasfreechips.com/ daily to collect free chips that were posted by MyVegas.  It's a few thousand extra chips a day.  I usually collect throughout the week and then spend it all during the weekend when I have free time.

I am waiting for them to release the next set of sailings.  Must act fast as the free cruises are redeemed pretty quickly.

So I just booked a 4 night Brilliance cruise in January 2018.  I was able to use a $250 MyVegas OBC for my cruise.  There are almost no restrictions of any kind with applying the OBC and I booked with my travel agent.  The only issues I had are that your agent can't use a TA group booking and they have to call casino royale not the regular booking number to make it all work.  Basically you make the reservation then after that your agent, or you if you don't use and agent, calls with the redemption code and you are all set.

It took me about 2 months of average play to earn 100,000 points to buy the $250 OBC.  Really not that bad for that amount of OBC.

I've been playing since February and have only managed to gain 25,900 points.

This is counter to what Wilson posted above but RCL phone operators often don't know about stuff. Any idea how long after booking you can redeem this. I am at 70K playing sporadically. Where did you find the Casino Royale contact info?

You redeem through MyVEGAS rewards on Facebook before booking cruise (at least that was the case for me). I later transferred to my TA. You will receive an email confirmation that you forward to Casino Royal. Royale rep will contact you at number you provided during redemption process. You can reach Casino Royale directly at 1-888-561-2234.

In my case I only use the mobile versions of the game.  I selected my $250 OBC reward in the app on my phone.  From there I was sent the information about the reward to my email.  I forwarded that information to my travel agent and the agent had to call Casino Royale to add the on board credit AFTER I had made the cruise reservation.  On the redemption form it told me that I had 16 days to use the reward.  Additionally the cruise must have been booked within the last 30 days.  If you make a mistake my understanding is that you can get a refund on the reward within MyVegas within the allowable timeframe as long as you haven't redeemed the reward with the final vendor.  Once redeemed with Casino Royale there is no turning back.

One thing I'm not sure about is if you do a Next Cruise on board booking, can you attach one of these OBC to it and still move the booking around if you change the reservation to a different ship.  Since I am not sure about that I would say the OBC with My Vegas is a good idea for any sailing you are really confident that you will actually take.

How much was this one going for? I was playing religiously for a couple of months, accumulated about 300k loyalty points, then my husband said "please don't book any more cruises yet" so I backed off, but if they're going to start posting cruises again....

500k. All sold out in less than 10 minutes.

When exactly did it go onto the game?  When was that magical 10 minute window?  Does anyone know in general if there is a certain time of day when odds are best at finding one of these rare free cruise sailings or do they update rewards randomly?  I'm surprised they don't charge more rewards points than 500,000 for a 7 day cruise.  Not complaining but surprised.

It was posted on the main myVEGAS FB page. If I remember correctly it was around 11am while  most people are busy working.

I'm happy I found this blog.  I have been playing MyVegas since August 2016. I found it while looking for cruise discounts and read that free cruises are offered from time to time.  Seems like last  year there were a lot of cruises, and lately not very many.  I am finally over 600k in loyalty and am playing hard to get over 750 so that I have a chance at a free cruise in December.  I hope they offer December cruises!

Also, just noticed today that they are showing MSC cruises on the rewards tab.  The 7 night Carribbean cruise was 1,100,000 loyalty coins!  I'll stick to the RC cruises.

I have never cruised RC, is there a way to sign up for Casino Royale before taking a cruise (so that I can load onboard credit when booking)?  Also, has anyone had success with booking a free cruise and using the onboard credit from the same MyVegas account. I have read elsewhere that it is not possible. Anyone know?

Cactus-

Welcome to the boards here!

You don't have to be a casino royale member to use the OBC, I am not.  In my case I found a cruise I wanted to go on, booked it, then the next day I gave my travel agent the MyVegas redemption info and she called Casino Royale for me and they applied the $250 OBC.  I don't know for sure but I'm pretty certain you can not use a free OBC on a free cruise.  You can call Casino Royale directly and ask them questions but beware they don't always say the same thing from one person to the other, most is the same though.

One thing about the amount of free cruises, I have only been playing for 4 months but Royal is most likely only going to offer up free cruises on off peak times.  We are just leaving summer booking season so odds should be better of free cruises 3 or 4 months ahead of slower cruising seasons.

I'm taking an MSC cruise next year but their OBC deals are also like Royal's in that you have to redeem the OBC within 30 days of booking a new cruise.  I booked my MSC cruise a long time ago.

Well, just logged into the myVegas game to find they are running a contest to win a 7 night cruise for 2 out of Galveston on Independence. Balcony room, free tournament entries at the casino, and taxes and fees are included. Good luck!

Hmmm. Indy is not in Galveston. Liberty there until at least May 2019.

I think the trick here is to be winning, not just playing:3_grin:

A couple weeks ago I was at about 65 k points.  I started the auto spin on a Saturday, and ran out all my coins and then noticed that I had over 210 k points.  I don't know what I did but it worked.  I wasn't watching so I don't know how much I was winning but I did notice that my original 2 million coins had boosted to about 17 million at one point.  The points seem to be tied to how much you are betting on each spin. Now to book a cruise to cash in for OBC.

From what I can tell (and I'm fairly new to the game), but you build loyalty points based on your spins, not on your wins.  The more you bet, the faster you accumulate rewards coins.  Obviously, though, by default, that means you have to keep winning to keep spinning ... unless you are paying for coins, which I do not do.  Also, as you advance in "levels", the number of rewards coins you win are larger.  I think I used to get around 30 coins each time I collected based on spins, and now it's 95.  You also earn rewards coins when you complete challenges or "journeys" on the strip.

Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.  As I said, I'm fairly new and would love any tips & tricks if anyone has them to share. :-)

@Stephanie, you're correct on all counts. The best advice I can give (which I forgot, causing me to go "bankrupt" and have to start building my chips up again) is look at how many chips you currently have and then divide that by 200. That's your max bet, and pretty much ensures that you'll be able to ride the ups and downs as you hit winning streaks and losing ones. This should also allow your chip stack to grow over time, so you can make larger max bets.

And you need to be able to do that, because as you go up in levels, the total amount you have to bet before you get that next loyalty payout steadily creeps upward. Where you could get a reward with 25 or 30 1,000 chip spins in the early game, that quickly changes to needing to make 25 or 30 40,000 chip spins or higher. It's a balancing act to keep the bet high enough that you get loyalty without too many spins, but not so high that you quickly build loyalty but also quickly go bankrupt.

I got to 68,000 loyalty (almost entirely via the mobile app) and decided to take a break from the game after bankrupting out. My chip stack is back up to 8 million now, so I can bet a half-decent 40k per spin, but I figure I'll keep building it up until I can bet at least 100k per spin (so I'll need 20 million chips). At level 71 where I am now, 100k per spin is kind of the minimum to build loyalty at any kind of decent rate.

Only other advice I can give is to only play whatever games you need for your Journey quests. Don't try out other games just because they look interesting; trust me, you'll be playing them eventually as part of a quest.

The best tip I read was for the "loyalty quests", where you need to get X loyalty in a particular slot game. Don't actually play that game if you find it's one that doesn't pay out well. Instead, go to a different quest where you can play a different game, and keep an eye on the loyalty gauge. It fills up five times before you get loyalty rewarded, so when you see that it's filled up four times and is almost done with the fifth, stop spinning and switch to the "loyalty quest" game. Spin once or twice, get the loyalty award, and go back to the other quest. Rinse and repeat until you've completed the loyalty quest along with whatever quests you were working on at the same time.

If anyone here wants to give out their Facebook names (maybe by private message so we don't get spammed), we can all build up a friend network for daily chip gifts that would also help to keep the spins going longer. ? My own account is only visible to friends and their friends, but I can make it public for a short time if someone here wants to friend up for this game.

I have found playing on the computer racks up Loyalty Points quicker than on the phone (Level 71 over 100K pts.)  I do small bets and just auto spin.  You can also run both your mobile device and computer at the same time.  The chip stacks are independent of each other, but the Loyalty Points synch up.

The one "gotcha" (that has gotten me a couple of times) on the computer is this....

At some point, your network will glitch and you will disconnect.  Do not be in a hurry and just relaunch the game and set up your auto spins.  When you relaunch, the game resets and takes you to a HUGE bet.  It doesn't take long at all to realize what you have done...and to watch over half your chips evaporate.  Make sure you take the time to set everything back up the way you had it.

Also, this website has links for free chips for the computer version that are posted daily:

I would definitely say smaller bets and more spins.  There is no quick way to earn points (unless you keep spending real money to buy the chips you burn through...which kind of defeats the purpose of playing to accumulate points for cruise freebies).

I don't know if there is any such thing as "fewer spins" in that it is a long grind regardless of the bet size to get enough points to do anything with.  Larger bets increases the speed with which you earn loyalty points (and game levels)...but you can burn through chips very quickly like this.  However, you will also win bigger whenever you win....but like with any casino game, it is designed with the odds against you....so you may hit it big before you run out of chips, but probably not.

Smaller bets are more of a grind, but seem to be more sustainable in terms of your chip stack.  I generally find a game that requires little, or no, interaction and set up auto spins with a small bet and just let it run.

It is much tougher early on when you don't have many chips.  I would definitely hit that site I mentioned above and build up a good little stack of chips to start.  Usually the first few rows of links/buttons on that site are active and give you chips...when you get down a few lines you will find the offers have already expired.

@JLMoran:  thanks for the tips on max bets.   I too, have learned the "trick" with the quests.  I loathe the 7 Kingdoms game, so when that comes up, I do as you say - play another game until I'm *almost* at the loyalty points number & then switch over to that game.

I've also started playing the other games - Kanomi slots & the Pop Slots (which is only available on mobile) b/c your rewards points accumulate across all games.

However, I feel like I've definitely been playing wrong as I'm at level 76 with only 40k rewards points.

And, I'm sure you all know if you follow the facebook page for MyVegas, you can get 15,000 free chips per day.  Pop Slots also has a FB page & their daily chips are much higher - 400k, I think?

I only had about 100,00 points so I selected one of the slot games, set it for the minimum bet, and let it autospin for two days straight.  Of course I had to look at it periodically to click on the mini-games it puts within the spinning, but I did manage to get my points up to 37,000 from 34,000.

Does anyone know of any games that don't have the mini-games within them where you have to interact with the screen?  I'd like to be able to just set it up for autospin and never have to interact with it while it runs.

Not sure about on the Facebook side, but Lotus Land on the mobile app has no mini-games that I've seen. Also seems to pay out regularly enough that if you follow that "200 spins" rule I mentioned earlier, you can pretty much keep going infinitely and just re-up the auto-spins as needed.

Until last weekend I only played the desktop version.  I installed the mobile version, and holy smokes is it more generous with the coins and experience points! It would take me weeks to get 100,000 coins on the desktop version, and right now I'm stilling on 1.4 million on my phone.  Much easier - and more fun as I can play longer.

The more generous chips on the mobile version is directly tied to the fact that the bets are also much larger than they used to be in that app. Where bet levels were originally 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, and 50 chips per line; now they're something like 1.5k, 3k, 15k, 30k, 40k, etc. per line. So you feel like you're making out bigger, but the amount needed to gain loyalty points (in terms of total spins at a given bet level) is still about the same.

It certainly feels nice saying "I've got 30 million chips!", though. Or seeing "HUGE WIN!! 1,245,000" ?

I cashed in another $250 in obc for the Harmony group cruise.

To date playing MyVEGAS has awarded me $650 in obc and I have not spent $1 on the game.

So you can do that even for a cruise you already booked outside of Casino Royale? Would love to do that for the Anthem cruise to Bermuda! Just figured that because I'd already booked it months ago now, it wasn't an option.

Unfortunately no. I am just now booking the group cruise. I redeemed the reward and sent the info to MEI. MEI will contact Casino Royale to book and get obc added to reservation.

Carival is now a sponsor. They listed nine free cruises (in exchange for 375,000 to 1,2 million points) but sold out quickly.

Royal needs to step up and offer some cruises!

I saw those today, and MSC is a sponsor as well. I also glanced briefly at the Vegas hotels and it seems that comp nights are pretty much all gone from the rewards options. I'm hoping that we rack up enough loyalty points and catch it at the right time to book a cruise (maybe sometime next year) and then I'll probably never play those games again :4_joy:
