Riley
Ah - as someone who doesn't frequent the casino this helps. How much do you have to gamble to get to the status?

How much do you have to gamble to get to the status? For PRIME you have to earn 2500 points, SIGNATURE 25,000 points, and MASTERS 100,000 points in a year (April 1 to March 31). Similar to Frequent Flyer programs once you hit the earned points you'll gain status for the rest of the current and the next year. 1 point = $5 in slot machine play or $10 video poker play. Tables games: how long you play, average wager, and table game. However, I'm sure a Ouija board is used somewhere in the point calculation process. That's a LOT of money just to get a free cruise. You could just use that money to get multiple cruises. And on top of that, it only lasts for a year or two?! anxiouscruiser

My most recent cruise I earned 355 points and walked out the casino up $45. Of those points 202 were from slot play, with a loss of $155. Doing the math the amount of play was $1,010. Remainder was from a single session of Three Card Poker betting only the $10 ante (table minimum) and play when logical. No idea how long I was playing. Walked away up $200 on that session. Rose City Cruiser
Depending on play, you will also receive cruise offers on select sailings/dates throughout the status year. I just wish these offers includes taxes & fees. I know MSC casino cruise offer program does cover them. Parma
The Fox
The first cruise we went on (Jan 2020) we spent about $200 in the casino. Didn't know anything about free cruises. But ever since then we've been receiving free cruises (interior room). We've probably had 10 offers and have taken advantage of three of them. They also send us offers for $100 on cruises. To us, it's worth the gamble. Parma
Ampurp85
I spent less than $500 I believe to become prime. You win, lose, win, lose and essentially end up playing with house money to earn your points. I won like $800+ playing on Allure in Oct 2021, it paid for tips and other activities. I did a S2S2S in Jan and was down $300 in total. I made Prime on a 2n cruise in Feb and have received offers for 3 free interiors since then, not including my annual prime cruise, plus offers for a $100 off select cruises. Since I already gamble, it's worth it. I was able to book 2 and since its just taxes and fees, unless I upgrade, I am already in the black so to speak. VoidoftheSeas
It really is a shame live poker playing doesn't contribute points. That's where I spend most of my time in the casino. Hardly ever play other table games or slots. (I just played blackjack for the first time on a ship during my last cruise, so I guess I'm in the system now?) PRebecca
Can anyone tell me where I can get the details on the benefit? I made prime earlier this month and wonder how long I have to book the annual benefit cruise? I'm sure the info is readily available but haven't found yet. I do have the benefit in my offers

mk-ultra
I'm "prime" -- been in that tier forever. I only play blackjack -- not slots. Rating a table player is apparently voodoo. It's allegedly based on average bet and time spent at the table, but unlike Vegas I hardly ever see a dealer or pit boss track that your betting has changed. This is purely anecdotal, but I place a few high bets when I join. Same when the boss wanders over with his tablet. You can ask what they're tracking you at -- they don't mind. I've never used any of the free cabin offers, but I get 1 a year that has a $500 cash trade-in value. Once in a while a random $250 one. Those are the good ones. You can apply them to any cabin, any cruise... as long as it's within the expiration date. You can track your offers at: https://www.clubroyaleoffers.com/PlayerLookup.asp WAAAYTOOO and AlohaLivin

Thank you, I'll spend some time digging into the rules and FAQs. Big help as always, here on the boards!! Ampurp85
The one with the $500 trade-in value will be your annual free prime cruise. That one can be used on any cruise that sails within the years' timeframe. Unlike some other free interiors, balconies, etc. that must be used within a specified timeframe and itinerary. However, I have discovered that you can use the money off and free specialized ones on already booked sailing as long as they aren't past final payment. Although I recently was told that you can only apply it to the booked cruise if you are willing to have it rebooked at the current rate (so if you booked early for a good price, it may not be worth the base price change?). My understanding is you can choose a 7 night itinerary anywhere in the world on any ship (other than Wonder until early march when she completes her first full year of sailing). Cruise cannot fall over any US holidays. Divelizard

When I called to inquire I was told absolutely no holidays but I guess it doesn't hurt to ask once you have a specific sailing date in mind.
