mparker0915
Hello! We are cruising on the June 26th sailing of Harmony of the Seas. I see from past versions of the cruise compass that there is a Dive Center on board. It has been 2 years since our last dive and I am wondering if you can get a refresher course on board before we do a certified dive in St. Thomas or if we should do that before we leave at our local dive shop. Any idea how to get in touch with the Dive Center on the boat to ask some questions? THank you!
GaryAA
Look at your cruise planner for that sailing and see if they have the PADI Re-Activate refresher option. Basically you will do an online refresher class then demonstrate diving skills in the pool on your first full day at sea. It is worth it because PADI will issue a new “C” card noting your refresher class.
twangster
https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/topics/padi-scuba-courses-and-excursions How can I contact PADI® Dive Instructors? PADI Dive Instructors can be reached at royaldiver@rccl.com. Q When is a PADI® ReActivate necessary? A PADI ReActivate is necessary when you haven't made a dive in a while. For example, 2 years or more (less than 10 years) it's mandatory to do a PADI ReActivate to participate in the certified dive tours. PADI ReActivate is offered on Spectrum of the Seas®, Anthem of the Seas®, Oasis Class, Freedom Class, and Voyager Class (Except Voyager of the Seas®) ships at the PADI Dive Shop.
