Recommendations for transfer from MIA to Fort Lauderdale

I'm looking for any recommendations for transfer from/to Miami Airport to Fort Lauderdale.  Also, a hotel pre-cruise, in Fort Lauderdale for February 2023. TIA

Are you looking for a bargain priced hotel or a resort style hotel on the beach?

I can help but would need to know more information. Hotel prices are elevated in February around Fort Lauderdale as we are in high season.

Not too bargain priced.  We arrive into MIA 1630hrs the evening before the cruise so we wouldn't benefit from having a resort hotel.

Will be arriving into MIA at 1630hrs the evening before our cruise.  A hotel with bar/restaurant within walking distance would be preferred.

From MIA to Fort Lauderdale or hotel to port?

I would say UBER OR Lyft is best from MIA to Fort Lauderdale (25 min drive). From embassy suites to port Everglades you can either pay to use the hotel shuttle service or once again use ride share as it’s located only 5 minutes from the port.

In the Ft. lauderdale area the best transfer options are often with rideshare services like Uber or Lyft.  These work best when you have cell phone service so for non-US guests rideshare services may not have the normal appeal.  

The hotel may offer a transfer service at a cost, often around $20-$25 pp.  The disadvantage of hotel transfer services is that they often are 3rd party companies that have a milk run route that serves many hotels so you are stuck on a small bus going from hotel to hotel before going to the port.  

You could arrange for a conventional taxi ride to the port as well.  The cost being between rideshare and hotel transfers when more than one guests is involved.  No cell phone service required and no milk run since a taxi would be dedicated to your party.

Thanks.  We won't have a cell phone service as we live in Spain.  A recommended transfer company would be our best option.
