Jailman Posted April 4, 2022 Report Share Posted April 4, 2022 I purchased a power strip (cruise on) and after reading some reviews, they are saying some ports at RC were pulling them from luggage even though they are clearly marked safe to use on cruise ships. These have no cord, or surge protector in them. Cruise On said they had suggestions on how to pack them, but could not find any suggestions. It's irrelevant what a manufacturer says because ultimately, it's up to the cruise line what the policy is. However, I have never had a problem bring on my power block, one with no cord and not surge protected on Brand X and Royal. I also bring the USB hub. I've taken this exact one on multiple cruises and I've never had any problems I also alway bring with me European power adapters so I can use the European power ports in the room as well if I need them. On Navigator yesterday they confiscated mine after I used it two other times on Symphony and Allure without issue. Same type no surge protector.
