poider
I have read in my Royal Caribbean brochure that we are not allowed to bring power transformers or power boards on the ship, so how do I charge the batteries on my Camera, and my laptop / Ipad (if I bring them)? Do the staterooms have any adapters for using the plugs we have in Australia? Peter
Tylor
Yes there will be several types of outlets available. Are your outlets different than European outlets? Staterooms have US and EU outlets.
poider
yes we needed adapters when we were in the UK
Marc
I don't believe that there is a restriction on bringing AC adapters. According to this page, the only prohibited electrical item are extension cords. References to "transformers" would likely be talking about much larger devices than the little "bricks" we use to charge/power our electronic devices. poider
chargers were fine for cameras, phones etc but no extension cords and definately no powerboards, power boards in australia are the type that plug into a wall socket and then have four to six outlets, i friend had theirs confiscated until the end of the cruise Peter
