Gambling on Oasis of the Seas

Just curious any details for the casinos on the ships. I love to play poker, is this a real casino to play and win money or just for entertainment.

We are cruising on Oasis on March 27

Its been awhile since we've been on the Oasis but just about all the ships have an unlimited Texas poker table.  In our experience it doesn't get much activity till late at night...Well except for the tournaments the casino will run during the day.

Thank you for the comments. I am looking forward to sailing on my first cruise with my girlfriend and famiy. As far as entertainment gambling i have been in a few bars and they only let you win credits and drinks. No real money.

Glad this will be like a real casiono.

Once onboard, speak to the casino host.  They will let you know the schedules on when they run the poker tournaments.

The poker tournaments are rough...The blinds go up way too fast and you have to play hands that you normally would toss.  I always seem to get the one guy who goes all in every hand and when he loses...He rebuys in and continues to go all in.  Just not enjoyable to me but I do like the late night cash games.

If that guy bets on bad hands, can't you just take his money when you have good hands?

Is cash required to play or can you use your SeaPass? If using your SeaPass, can you explain how that works?

You stick your seapass card into the designated slot on the machine. Enter the code, which will be your birthday and you can change it, then you can go to your personal account. They will ask about transferring funds which you will do from your onboard spending account in any amount you choose.
