mamie
The cruise director said in a Q&A they are had to restart from scratch after COVID from production to performers etc. Those who own the rights to Hairspray have to give their approval on every aspect of the show before they can perform the show. They have all the performers and are rehearsing but are waiting for approval and they don't have a time frame of when they will get approval. The cruise director said it is a difficult and long process to get approved. CruisingOz

It’s a very long play anyway, and there’s so much more to do on the ship. But it is unfortunate that people who cruise very little to miss out. We will be there in a month, so we shall see where it stands then. I know they need to get their money’s worth all these things, but I’m ready for some new shows mamie
