Nicki
Has anyone had luck bringing boxed wine onboard? I'm trying to stay keto, and bota box makes a low carb version called bota box breeze. It's 3 liters. Any chance of bringing it onboard? MattG
This will exceed the maximum allowable amount, unfortunately. Attempt at your own risk. That being said, I’m totally getting this for home! Nicki and WAYNO
MuttMutt
Well over their amounts allowed. With that said in Galveston they are pretty lax for that from what I saw. We had a couple bottles and walked over to the table where they were checking that kind of stuff and they saw the bottles and just waved us past. It's basically a deal where the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing, the xray screeners are not communicating with the check in people. Another option would be to just fill some correct size bottles up, again they are not checking that very well in Galveston. But I am not an attorney, or anything else able or willing to give legal advice so you are 100000000% on your own no matter what you do. So the official answer is No, not gonna happen. But you are free to read between the lines. On my B2B I had a full bottle my girlfriend and I were drinking while we were being escorted off the ship, went past some customs guys who checked our passports, sat in the terminal for a bit, went through the check in process, and then went back on the ship. It was actually very enjoyable for us, LOL. Nicki
melmar02
The Alcohol Policy section of the cruise docs specifically states no boxes. YMMV as far as getting one on board. ChessE4, Neesa and Nicki
Bunji
We had one in our carry on and was not questioned. Nicki
Nicki
@Bunji so you just walked it on board? With your carry on?
Bunji
23 minutes ago, Nicki said: @Bunji so you just walked it on board? With your carry on? Yes, or put in a plastic bag and put in your suitcase. I was told as long as it was not hard alcohol it will not be a problem.
AshleyDillo
Written policy is it is not allowed so if they won't let you, you can't be upset about it. Sharla
whitsmom
You should be able to find bottled Keto friendly wines at our liquor store of choice. I wouldn't risk trying to sneak in on board. Champagne Brut only has 2g sugar and several other wines I saw had 3g per serving.
