JennaRCB
Hi everyone! We are gathering ideas for future Royal Caribbean Blog video/blog content and today's topic is FOOD! What is the best local cuisine or dish (or drink!) you have tried while exploring a port? In the Caribbean, Alaska, Europe, Asia... anywhere! Psycho and Barb
Can't remember the tour but it was in Jamaica and our bus stopped at a scenic overview for pictures. An older gentleman had a split 55 gal drum he had converted into a barbeque. He had the best Jerked Chicken I've ever eaten. Got my mouth watering just thinking about it!!! XtremeGK
Really wish I could remember the name of it now, but a little cafe in an alleyway near the town square in Ponta Delgada. The chef/owner had never left the island, learned English by watching cartoons, and delivered a top-notch tuna steak. Also took a food tour in St. Kitts -- in the back of the art gallery, the owner's daughter baked up a dessert for us that was absolutely phenomenal. On the way back to the ship, we stopped by a street BBQ (made using a half-oil drum) that rivaled anything I've had in San Antonio.

mnshortie21
Alaskan Crepe Escape in Juneau, AK offers sweet & savory crepes. Do not like seafood, so went in search of something else and found this gem.
Kathleen
Although not the most gourmet, one of my favorite foods came from a food truck at Dunn River Falls park in Ocho Rios. Best Jamaican meat pie I have ever had. Nice and spicy!!

fa-li
This question sparked a lot of fun conversation! We realized that most often in port, we are rushing to do things, and lunch is just whatever works. Most dinners, which we make an effort to be sure are good, are onboard the ship. Having said that, the day we wandered Tallinn, Estonia, on our Baltic cruise, we wound up having a fantastic meal at Hell Hunt Pub. The beer was good too! Temeculaguy
Lattitud 33 in El Valle de Guagalupe at El Cielo winery (20 miles outside of of Ensenada). While the port has some of Anthony Bourdain's favorites, local So cal folks who regularly take the short cruises to Ensenada realize quickly the port has limited offerings. 20 miles North East is the wine region of El Valle De Guadalupe and it's foodie scene, worth the excursion or chartering a driver. Lattitud 33 is ranked 5th on tripadvisor, so that means I have 4 more to try. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g150770-d5598013-Reviews-Latitud_32-Ensenada_Ensenada_Municipality_Baja_California.html Always a wait but the peacocks that wander the property and the fresh bread bakery will distract you during your wait. 0FA252B7-ED80-4960-8F1C-B2DAF96E0C43.heic
