Irish Cruiser
Hi I seen on a forum that if you test positive for covid while on a cruise you are quarantined on the “red zone” deck which tends to be decks 2, 3 or 4 depending on the ship. Is this true and if so does anyone know the deck on independence? Meant to be on deck 2 with my family for an upcoming cruise in April and a bit worried that we may be in a dodgy part of the ship in the current environment. twangster
There are quarantine areas on the ship as required by CDC guidelines. They are blocked off with their fire doors closed and signs declaring them crew only. Your cabin is not in a quarantine area.
CrznTxn
On our last two cruises part of deck 8 was closed off with the fire doors closed. One of the staff told us that was where new crew was placed for their 14 day quarantine period. We saw several crew coming and going during embarkation and disembarkation and talked to crew that we saw on other ships that we have sailed on this year who said this was common. Whether guests would be placed there also would only be conjecture.
tonyfsu21
Part of deck 6 on Oasis is designated for quarantine.
