wrh2016
We are sailing on the Navigator of the Seas in February and trying to decide between Giovanni's or Chops for dinner one evening. I know we will try Sabor for lunch (especially for the margaritas and guacamole!), but we are torn about an evening choice. Any recommendations for one over the other? Thanks! DocLC
I would argue for Chops unless you have someone's in your party that isn't into steaks much. In my opinion, it's far superior except for the desserts. wrh2016
Asphodel
Giovanni's. I haven't eaten at Chops but Giovanni's was decent. wrh2016
wrh2016
Thank you! I now realize I should have posted this in the Dining forum. I see lots of info there on the specialty restaurants. New to this, so its a learning curve! ;)

UkuleleCruiser
The food at both was excellent, but the "formal" experience at Chopped was greater. Any chance you can do both? wrh2016
KLA
Why not both? :D Is the BOGO promotion available on your sailing through the cruise planner? wrh2016 and DocLC
wrh2016
The BOGO is available and we definitely considered doing more than one. We are on a 5 day cruise that docks day 2 and 4, so we were trying to find a way to do a little bit everything - MDR, a couple of specialty restaurants, and in-port meals! Ultimately, I think we have decided to do the chef's table on our last night, and play it by ear for lunches and dinners on our at sea days. We can add an additional specialty restaurant once we see the cruise compass. I'm assuming the formal night will be night 3, but I am just guessing. Since this is my sister's first cruise, we are leaving our options open! Any opinions/ suggestions are so appreciated, as this is only my second cruise and I am winging it! ;)
