Any Brilliance of the Seas Questions?

Hope you had a great cruise.   We are considering Brilliance for a Greek Isles cruise next summer and had a few questions.

Does the Windjammer have an outdoor eating area?

How was the solarium, was there enough room for everyone or did it get super crowded?

Did you see the gym....did they have plenty of equipment and space?

Does the ship have a sports court and a movie theater?

Did you go to the casino, did they have smoke free sections?  If they did, was it still smoky?

What type of cabin did you stay in, and which part of the ship was it located?

Did most of the games/trivia take place in the Centrum?  How did that work with COVID/social distancing?

Thank you!

Does the Windjammer have an outdoor eating area? Yes it does with a spectacular view off the stern

How was the solarium, was there enough room for everyone or did it get super crowded? Solarium was never crowded and everything arranged to prevent crowding

Did you see the gym....did they have plenty of equipment and space? Partner used the gym three days and said sanitizing was meticulous and plenty of open machines well spaced

Does the ship have a sports court and a movie theater? Yes on both counts, both however smaller than the mega ships  but both perfectaly up to the task (how I would describe everything on Brilliance)

Did you go to the casino, did they have smoke free sections?  If they did, was it still smoky? Casino was 100 percent smoke free….a godsend in my opinion.  Not a whiff of smoke   Will be so sad to see this go back.

What type of cabin did you stay in, and which part of the ship was it located? 9092 balcony cabin dead on midship, first cabin off the Centrum   Quiet comfey and so convenient

Did most of the games/trivia take place in the Centrum?  How did that work with COVID/social distancing? All games were in the Theater or the Colony Club (ships secondary stage) for spacing. Lots of poolside trivia.

Enjoy Greece!  It is definitely on our list and I believe she may just be coming out of dry dock.

I’ve been on the Brilliance the week before Christmas. I can answer some of the questions

Yes it does

It’s not as big as the Solariums on the bigger ships but I have not seen it crowded.  I haven’t gone there at peak times though

The gym had reasonable amount of equipment and space

I think casinos fleetwide are no-smoking zones these days

I stayed in an Ocean View cabin on Deck 3 Starboard Forward.  There was a noise going on and off engineering could not figure out

Most of them took place in the Schooner Bar and the Colony Club. Some at the Centrum. Masking was required but people with drinks took them off.

Brilliance sounds nice for me going solo. Anyone know if Brilliance or Serenade is the better choice ? Is one a little better than the other? I understand they are sister ships, I've sailed on Jewel.

I’ve been on all three.  Except for minor differences in decor, I did not see any significant differences on these sister ships.  I’ll be on the mother ship (Radiance) in September next year.

Brilliance and Serenade and nearly identical.  They both have the upgraded LED lighting in the Centrum.

Radiance and Jewel are very similar on the surface but there are some subtle differences such as that LED lighting is missing.  Jewel still has a NASCAR themed pub bar the last I saw which is pretty dated now.  I haven't seen reports on the pub since the restart so I don't know if that still is a NASCAR pub.

There are some minor differences between the sisters in some specific cabins here and there.  Most people wouldn't ever be impacted, it's very limited in scope.  For the most part they are cookie cutter copies of each other.  The sculptures in the Centrum are vastly different as is some artwork.  Some venues are different such as a Champagne Bar or Vintages and some specialty dining venues on one ship or another.
