Done
We did a "behind the scene" tour on a RCL cruise a couple years back. In the galley we were told the color of the cooks neckerchief was an identifier of their "cooking rank" or expertise. There were yellow, red and blue neckerchiefs and I am sure some others I do not remember. Does anyone know the pecking order of the colors? KWong
I believe that Red means that you shouldn't go out on away missions with the captain. micahd, cruisinnewbie, BeachGal and 4 others

Start at about the 27:45 mark of the below video... they explain the meaning/rank of the scarf colors for the cooks. Yellow: New hires/ first contract Blue: Cook trainees Red: In charge of one section of galley (eg. sauce cook, fish cook) Sorry that this copy on YouTube has subtitles! Excellent episode on Mega Food filmed on Oasis pre-amp... may be available on Netflix, etc. Done and WAAAYTOOO 1
