tonyfsu21
There is a rumor floating around that 125 total Covid positive cases on a voyage will result in the entire ship quarantined to staterooms? If true, is this 125 total inclusive of crew? Assuming all passengers quarantined would the ship return to home port regardless of what duration was remaining on the voyage? I have to admit, this would really be bad if true. Thanks in advance. Baked Alaska and The Fox 1
RWDW1204
Yes, really bad. Where did you see/hear about this? Wife is on a couple of RC social media sites and hasn't said anything about this yet.

I would think you would have to use a % of the population, whether it be passengers, crew or both. There could be some wide variations with that scenario. pcvchristine
BrianB
I believe there is no hard and fast ‘trigger’ number…whether it’s the number of total positive, or ratio. I think they are in constant communication with the CDC and evaluate each scenario based upon the number of positives, the total number of passenger and crew, and…most importantly…the overall effect on the medical facility. Having an increased but manageable number test positive…primarily due to contact tracing and not symptoms…where there is no strain on medical services…should be the primary indicator or consideration. Just as on land, I believe this variant has caused a new way of thinking regarding it’s spread versus it’s effect. As we all keep saying…during this time of cruising, changes are expected and will occur. I will continue to cruise and will not be surprised. For me…so far…so good. Just my opinion. Matt
There’s no fact to back this rumor up. It sounds like pure speculation tonyfsu21, teddy, Neesa and 3 others 5
tonyfsu21
I’m really happy that this may be nothing but poppycock. We are at the terminal now ready to board and it’s going to be a great cruise! Happy New Year!
