Our prior genie Alan F (currently on Oasis) highly recommended Smitha, that’s who we’d like to ask for if possible. Hopefully you like her! We have a 2br ATS Jan 22. We had already had Alan F so we knew what to expect and what to ask for, which helped a lot given Hugo’s lack of experience. We were on Oasis in Oct for 3 weeks and Rahul and Nadia were the suite concierges. Rahul left part way through to go through genie training. Interesting….I’d definitely appreciate the feedback! He escorted us off the ship that day. He said that when Derick returns in January his tour will end. I guess unless he fills in for someone else. As far as who gets which suites, they rotate depending on numbers to try to keep it as even as possible. This past sailing, Smitha had us (GPS), one family in 1720 (star loft), another couple in the RLS, and one family on the Deck 9 ATS. But she said that is not set in stone. They rotate. not easy being green Posted April 9, 2022 Report Share Posted April 9, 2022 We had Dexter on Allure over the holidays in December, and then we were on another ship (Celebrity) and he had one week left on Allure (this was in February) Last I heard he is still on break - however, not sure. When we had her for our Genie on the Allure, 2 Bedroom Aqua Theater, she had a new Genie assisting her by the name of Charlie. After that cruise I've never heard of him again. Anybody know of him. He seemed like he was going to be a good Genie. On my last Star Class cruise on Symphony, I can only say that our Genie didn't compare to Marla, not even a little. He was good but didn't seem to go the extra mile. But, I'm not complaining. For me/us, the bar has been set by Marla. I believe it's hard for others to live up to that standard. We had him on Allure and soon after that I heard he had left Royal Caribbean. That's a big shame as he was a GREAT Genie.
