Edge7
I purchased a Royal Caribbean “gift certificate” through Shop with Scrip. The certificate says it has to be emailed to a verification department to activate it. So I have done that and that department tells me it can’t be used to purchase extras like beverage package or excursions or added to my SeaPass account. That doesn’t make sense to me. They are telling me it can only be used towards deposit at time of booking or to pay off cruise. But when I called in i was told it could be added to my SeaPass account? None of this makes sense? I purchased a $500 gift certificate and now I can’t use it because we already paid off our cruise.
PG Cruiser
The Royal Caribbean gift certificates are not like other “good-as-cash” gift cards/certificates. There are so many restrictions on their use. I regretted giving them as gifts to my friends. ChessE4
KJones
Yes, the certificates purchased through Scrip are only for new bookings - there is fine print that says so on them. I also made this mistake once, but that just meant I "had" to book a new cruise
