Downlining Embarkation/Disembarkation Question

No, it doesn't have anything to do with the actual debarkation process. It has to do with getting off the ship a port stop early (or latr). For example, let's say you book a cruise from Miami that goes to CocoCay, St. Thomas, and San Juan then returns to Miami (obviously making this up here). Downlining would be arranging with Royal ahead of time to disembark in San Juan because you wanted a land vacation there instead of completing the cruise back to Miami as scheduled.
