kadmgs
We are flying into Miami Saturday morning and are staying at the InterContinental. We are familiar with the area from a previous trip and know that Bayside is just a short walk the other side of the park. However, I would like to avoid tourist traps so to speak. What is your favorite dinner spot for your pre-cruise dinner when in Miami?
Neesa
We get a room with a dining table and a view. We stop at the Publix for Pub Subs, clean & pretty healthy depending on your choice of sandwich. We figure we are going to eat non stop on the ship so we literally do this every.single.trip. We usually stay at the Hilton Downtown huge and safe parking deck attached and Publix is around the block across the street, this is our ritual when sailing out of Miami. We save the "dinner" for our embarkation lunch. CruisingOz, Jneener79, kadmgs and 2 others 3

You are welcome, its a very short walk and it's nice to get out and stretch your legs, you can stroll by the water on the way there if you so desire. It's a nice area but we always try to make the trek during daylight hours, just to take it all in & why temp fate? Have an amazing time whatever you choose! kadmgs
Lovetocruise2002
If you like Mexican food, we loved Tequiztlan in South Beach. We always stay at the Intercontinental Miami as well and Tequiztlan was about a 10 min Lyft ride across to South Beach. Dulis
There are a bunch of great places in South Beach for dinner. I really liked Los Fuegos in the Faena, Watr on the rooftop of the 1 Hotel and Serena rooftop at the Moxy when I went with a friend in June. The band on Saturday at Habitat, which is also at the 1 Hotel is banging! If you see them, tell the bongo player that Debra says hi. On Christmas Day we are headed to the Edge Steak and Bar. We're looking forward to it! kadmgs
kadmgs
Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! Got home yesterday and DW said she wanted to go over to Calle Ocho after we check in to get another ladies' guayabera. So, it looks like dinner will be Cuban in Little Havana.
