JudyAnderson
Has anyone done the escape room on Oasis of the Seas or other ship? We are sailing on December 19 and I thought it would be a fun family activity with 3 teens and 2 parents.
jticarruthers
Have done the one on Mariner, it was a fun group activity. stevendom57 and JudyAnderson
AshleyDillo
I have done the one on Oasis and I found it an excellent experience. It is very challenging and well put together. This was pre-COVID and we had a total of 10-12 participants if I remember correctly. In fact, it was challenging to the point that even though my group finished and "escaped" I would still sign up to do this again and not feel like I had any kind of an advantage. There's a LOT going on in there! JudyAnderson and whitsmom
jbrinkm
Do you pay extra to do the escape room? It might be one way to get our teens to spend some time with us onboard, LOL!
PPPJJ-GCVAB
I believe the rate is $19.99 per person jbrinkm

It was our first escape room and we had a lot of fun! We lucked out as one of the participants in our group had tried the room earlier in the cruise, but failed with that group. Naturally, we had a slight advantage! We just solved it with only 2:01 remaining on the clock. You are given 45 minutes to complete the mission. I won't spoil it and show you too much of the room, etc.! VirtKitty, FoxboroCruiser and PPPJJ-GCVAB 2

BowTieBrigade
Don’t know about Oasis. Navigator’s was closed over Christmas.
jbrinkm
$19.99 per person is fairly inexpensive compared to Escape Rooms near where I live. Can you reserve a time in the app/cruise planner or in person? Ahead of time, or only on the ship?

We reserved through the Royal app once we got onboard. whitsmom, jbrinkm and PPPJJ-GCVAB 1
Larry Muster
Can anyone confirm the previous posts are correct regarding the booking process. Is booking on board the only way to book the escape room? If so do I hit the excursion desk, guest services or what?

jticarruthers
We did it on Mariner back in October and it was book on board only. Guest Services was who we were directed to but then they called the activity manager and put us on the phone with him directly since we were looking to book a large group. I was just on Indy 2 weeks ago though and their escape room is currently not running, not sure about the rest of the fleet status.
WannaCruise
We were on Anthem in March and it was not running. They had a "puzzle break" activity that I suppose they were trying to mimic that was open to everyone run in the Music Hall (different puzzles/things to solve)
CannukCruiser
On Oasis we booked it once on board , and it is well worth the 20 bucks . But you must work as a group to complete it . we worked together and some people did different tasks but had to combine everything to make it work .. A must do . Sea Squirrel
We did the escape room on Oasis in November and it was awesome. The escape room we did on Anthem was fun but it was placed props in a random room. Oasis’s escape room was built for the purpose and well worth the time. They even give you an Apollo 18 patch for completing the room. Definitely worth it! whitsmom
Karolyn
We just got off the ship and the escape room was amazing. It was extremely well done with great ‘decorations’ and PLENTY of different puzzles for our group of 12 to do. We got out with 6:41 left. You book it on the app under ‘Mission Control’. We looked under Escape Room and had trouble finding it at first. Rackham and WannaCruise
Jax
Yes, we did it on Oasis this past December and as others have said it was a lot of fun. It seemed more challenging than the escape room on Anthem, definitely more math skills required. Our genie scheduled us with his other star class families so there were about 12 of us, 3 of which were older teens which really helped us out! Would definitely do it again. VoidoftheSeas
We just did this on the Oasis! It was so much fun. We finished in record time (sub-30 minutes). Great group of other Star Class guests and just a ton of fun overall. Not the hardest escape room I've done, but well designed to make sure everyone can participate regardless of their puzzle solving ability. Maggie M
We booked ours through the Cruise Planner in advance of our sailing this Friday! We're on Navigator but I've heard they're all pretty good.
Villageidiot
Just booked it for February 12 cruise on Oasis. Hope we have a good group for the challenge. travellingtannis
I see you've already booked, but I will add another recommendation. We did it last year on Oasis, and my teens were 12 and 15 at the time. Upon arriving and meeting our teammates, I think they were disappointed that they were grouped with my kids. However, we live in a large city and do escape rooms together as frequently as possible, as well as boxed versions you do at home, and they were all shocked at how helpful and knowledgeable they were about how to do an escape room. Our group escaped with a decent amount of time, and the experience offered my kids and I lots to talk about and great memories! You will get a little embroidered badge at the end as a keepsake. Enjoy! Villageidiot
