Required excursions to leave boat

We are heading on a Caribbean cruise in March of 22. Is it true that barbados,  st kitts,  and st lucia require a sore excursion to get off the ship.  We are a family of 4 with 2 kids who are all fully vaccinated.  We enjoy playing on the beach all day and we're really excited to head back to the boat yard in barbados but not seeing that as an excursion option.  All of the excursions are only 4 hours long too, is that the longest we could stay at a beach?

Unfortunately, that is currently the rule that the governments of those countries are requiring for cruise ships to dock.  If those countries change their rules, I'm sure that Royal would revert back to their overall policy that allows for vaccinated passengers to depart for their own excursions.

At this time those three islands have enacted local regulations that does not allow self exploring beyond the port area.

Some of these ports have excursion booths set up in the port area.  You can get off the ship in the port area and visit the excursion booths to see if they offer a government approved excursion that appeals to you or you can book an excursion through Royal Caribbean.  However you can't leave the port area with booking a government approved excursion.

These are local regulations enacted by the destination.

No one knows if they will still have these local regulations in March.
