Covid test sobriety

Blood etoh levels (alcohol concentration in the blood) and the detection of the specific proteins associated with SARS2 infection (COVID) are not related in any way. Nor is a COVID test going to detect you are over the legal limit to operate a motor vehicle. Just in case you are worried about that. 😇

Anyone know if being less than sober, or significantly less than sober, affects Covid testing?

Yes, you will test positive for a new variant called "COVID Colada"!!! 🤪

If you're looking for a more serious answer, I would go with what @JeffB said.

I registered for a Covid test for when I get back from my next cruise.  It's an oral swab and we cannot eat or drink anything including gum, mints or lozenges, tobacco,  within 30 minutes of test  No mouthwash or toothpaste within 60 minutes of taking the test either.    My guess is alcohol is a no no within the 60 minutes.   LOL
