LSUWAG
So @Matt just posted about changes coming to the back to back testing experience. It seems that RC will be moving to handing out eMed kits in lieu of the onboard Medical Facility testing. I am curious how that may affect kids on B2Bs, as children are not allowed to use the eMed home testing kits for their pre-cruise test? Curious as I will be on a B2B with my kids in a few days. Has anyone done 7 day B2B cruises with children under the vax age, recently with the current protocols? I get that the odds of this change to eMed kits probably will not be in place by my cruise dates, but it did lead me down the path of a few questions..... *also thanks to @Matt, @svcruiser, and others who have posted great info on cruising with kids lately! smokeybandit
That's a good point. Unless they'll still do the traditional test for anyone unvaccinated. It also could be something that wouldn't take effect until after Jan 15, in which RC could then accept at-home tests for unvaccinated. AshleyDillo
How long are the individual cruises? Don't kids have to test before debarkation on cruises longer than 5 days? Wouldn't that test suffice for them?
LSUWAG
They are both 7 day cruises so I hope you are correct, anything to cut down on the dreaded post test anxiety, by reducing number of tests is very welcome.
Matt
Keep in mind it sounds like this change is for someone who needs a test for a different ship, not someone staying onboard. I could be totally wrong. teddy and CruisingOz
