Mu Uber driver didn't speak english so he dropped me off at E and i had to walk. Baggage guys took my bag. There is a huge line already. My check in is 1130. only one guy giving instructions. But at the main entrance i realized it. They had to then ask me again if im ok with documents. Now i wait for them to get me a silk band. No savory bites. Had to request them for another night. Internet has not been too strong on Jewel. They could use a few more boosters. My balcony room is nice but smaller than i imagined. Make use of under the bed for sure. Jewel is a beautifully decorated ship but she is old looking and they could have washed her after the Greece trip. Like the glass windows and railing glass. They didn't do social distancing with tables at the Windjammer or MDR on Allure, luckily she is a big girl. But they seem to seat everyone close together when they had the tables to space out. Sun was peaking out as we travel past Cuba. And boy is that sun piercing! Breakfast and pre-lunch at Windjammer. Took a casino break and won $16 on the slots! Regular lunch at Chops Grille. Delish! D Alt Posted November 17, 2021 Author Report Share Posted November 17, 2021 Dinner at Giovannis Table. Was ok. Not overly impressed on the 2 pasta dishes or deserts that i had. I probably wouldn't pay for this specialty restaurant in the future. They are doing scavenger hunts on Jewel. The eveninh production was fabulous! Singers and dancers show. Very talented and the background scenery was great. I retired early because we hit some waves into Mexico. Took a motion sickness tab and went to bed early. Did not do any tours. Just walked around the town and got suckered into buying a ring and some cosmetics. I hate this about tourist spots. D Alt Posted November 18, 2021 Author Report Share Posted November 18, 2021 Day 4. Cozumel. Mostly Cloudy day with some breaks of sun. One sun shower. Went to Paradise Beach all inclusive resort. The seaweed muddied up the beach water and it's very rocky in the shallow areas. Worth the $45. Miguel my first waiter was very good. I dont think they put any alcohol in the frozen drinks because after 6 i feel nothing. LOL Food was very good. Pool was very nice. Back at ship by 1. Pissed cuz i left my new RC water bottle in taxi. I've checked my eDocs and my SetSail Pass, and can't see any indication of where Freedom will be. I'm assuming (hoping??) it's Terminal A -- but maybe not? Set your reservations now for MDR if you can. 2 lines - one for reservations and one for without. Also i never stayed at same waiter either due to the time i showed up at MDR or just due to people taking longer at my table. So i had 3 diff waiters. Windjammer was just like any buffet. Last night i got my luggage tags with a number on it corresponding to my departure group and timing. The RC tv channel and the departure instructions sheet is very informative on what to do in preparation. Spending last day soaking up the intermittent sunshine on way back to Miami. Then signed up with @Sharla at MEI so we can track it. Had izumi for dinner and it was OK. I gotta say im not impressed with any of the specialty dining. Maybe my NY taste buds have spoiled me. Surprised they only had the late showing for the Coral Theatre tonight. My bag is ready. Weather in Miami sux for next day or 2. Will try to get out onto Miami Beach for whenever sun breaks.
