Casino Royale admitted not sending monthly offers for cruises already booked.

Recommended Posts

I called Casino Royale today to ask when the November offers would be out. I was told my wife and I (both Prime members) would not be receiving any offers. I asked why and was told because the offers would have been for some of the cruises we already have booked. (We have 26 cruises booked).

The offers we should have received would have reduced our cost on some of the booked cruises. In the past we have received offers that did apply to booked cruises, saving us money. The savings would be spent in the casino.

Since Casino Royale only wants to attract new business and does NOT care about keeping it's current customers, my wife and I will NOT be gambling on our b2b cruises starting on the 14th. Going forward I do not see any reason to earn over 2500 points per year.

My wife and I have 31 cruises on other cruise lines. The reason we are on track to be Pinnacle by the end of 2023 is we liked the offers we received from Casino Royale in the past.

In our opinion, RCCL and Casino Royale have made a poor business decision. I hope they rethink this new policy before they lose our business permanently.

Even if you have already booked a cruise without using a casino offer, if the offer hasn't expired, you can still have the cruise repriced using the offer.  If the offer has expired I'm sure they would not honor it.

I haven't received a spontaneous casino offer since we moved from VA to FL (almost a year ago).  Every once in a while I will call and they will give me a list of crappy offers and promise that the "monthies" will resume automatically but they never have.  Since I'm not booking any new cruises anyway I have just quit worrying about it.

I will totally agree with you on one thing....Club Royale has a for-sh*t system for getting promos and offers out, but it's no worse than any of Royal's IT programs....which isn't saying much.

Throwing another casino log on the fire here;

As a agent, casino now blocks me from using automation to apply a price drop to my customers bookings that have casino $ certificates applied (NOT referring to free offers, even $100 per person locks me out). I have to call them and then trust that they will do the right thing. They won't even send me a copy reflecting MY commission, they just tell me the amount over the phone. I don't see this holding up but my franchise ends next summer so I probably won't be there for "the fix."

Side note-I'll get my fourth and fifth spires during 2022 so I love the product as much as I detest the "glitches."

WOW !  Congratulations !!!  What an awesome achievement.

I knew that they had made it much more difficult for agents to own and manage casino bookings.  Even bookings that I have made myself through the casino and tried to move to my agent have been FUBAR.  The only way I can get her name on the booking is as a "note".  Her name will not appear as the managing agent.  Frankly, I have no real idea whether she is getting any of the commission or not.  I do the best I can and hope for the best.

I am Prime and just had several offers expire end of October. Usually new offers have appeared for the next month and I currently am showing only my annual cruise listed on the website. I called the prime number and there was no reason given for no new offers. They noted my annual benefit available and any future offers for prime members would appear in the future. I specifically asked why no new offers have been sent out and they were very carefully and politely avoiding any specific answer. I can only assume they are pausing offers temporarily for some business reason.

We have 26 cruises with Royal and have only recieved 1 offer ever!! When I questioned it they gave some explanataion that still doesn't make sense. Our friends who rarely cruise got 6 offers in 2 months and another friend cruised once and he's gotten 2 offers. Seems they are trying to attract new business and that's ok but take care of loyalty. It should count for something. Makes me not want to lose anymore money in the casino

This past cruise (12/20) we had the monthly casino offer in our room. We had two offers listed on the Casino Royale website besides our annual offers but they were from the wife's points earned on our two previous cruises. It appeared in our list when we returned home but thought it was unusual that they gave it to us when we boarded. Still only goes out until the end of June and we have multiple cruises already booked through August. Still waiting for that Fall list to come out.

We've had @18 fully comped cruises between November 2021 and June 2022 and one with discounts. After tax, gratuity, and @$300 balcony upgrade fee we are at @$700 /cruise. Not to bad. Also booked 2 rooms on the same cruise 4 times to get double points - the tax and gratuities are the same for 2 people whether you book one room or two. So one room goes empty. Seems silly, but I play the cards I'm dealt. We are Prime and will be diamond by March 5th. Our only real expense is Wifi which I get at a discount. About as cheap as sitting at home. On April 1st, we get 2 X 7 day cruises thrown in and plan to hit Europe.

I fully agree I’ve gone on 7 cruises in the last 18 months have used the casino and got a couple of thousand points but not quite reached prime, yet I’ve received nothing except what I won on board maybe a $200 casino voucher, yet I know of 2 people that have cruised once used the casino have not even 1000 points and have received 6 free cruises in the last year, how do they justify that ? Seems like if your booking and paying for your cruises you get nothing although common sense and a good business sense would reward paying customers and especially paying customers that spend money in the casino seems all backwards to me I believe there system is a total and utter load of s***
