PPPJJ-GCVAB
Hello to anyone who has recently returned from a cruise. My husband is wondering how cool it gets at night while walking around outside areas. He is debating on taking a pair of long pants or just sticking with shorts. I told him it probably gets windy so definitely a sweatshirt…right? Thanks for advice!!!

If he is on the fence, it never hurts to pack a long pair of pants and a sweatshirt. For Caribbean cruises, i've always worn shorts and a t-shirt in the evenings even when outside, but my wife will be there next to me in near artic wear VirtKitty, PPPJJ-GCVAB, Neesa and 1 other
Zacharius
Yeah, this is impossible to really answer without more info on when and where. Transatlantic in April is different than Caribbean in June. PPPJJ-GCVAB
smokeybandit
The really short answer is, if you are thinking about it enough to ask the question, then pack the pants and sweatshirt. On your typical Caribbean cruise, there will be a good many in pants/jacket in the evenings outside even if the temps stay in the upper 70s PPPJJ-GCVAB
WAAAYTOOO
It has been cooler in the evenings (south Florida) but is still very warm during the day. I believe it was in the high 60's/low 70's last night. Of course, it will most likely be cooler on the water. The weather has actually been perfect, IMO. HeWhoWaits
I have never worn long pants on a cruise except to the MDR for dinner. This includes early morning and late evening in Alaska. As noted above - it's really about an individual's comfort zone. If the high is going to make it into the 60s, I'll start the day in shorts and sandals down to about 45.
