Watched @CHRIS WONG announcement today about his new contract on Ovation.  Now I'm going to have to figure out how to add an Alaskan cruise to my schedule!   Best of luck on your new contract, Chris.  Enjoying all your vlogs (especially your Orlando trip with Steph).  Cheering you on!  Thanks for the great content!

I made sure to seek him out in the Casino when I sailed odyssey in December. He was quite gracious for some rando approaching him and saying I read his posts from this site 😁

I sought him out on the Odyssey too, but I didn’t feel “rando” at all because of prior communication with him on this forum.  The Rice Krispie Treats and socks I brought for him helped a bit too lol.

Based on his recent videos, he took a break from signing up for a new contract to figure out where he wants his career/life to take him and if that involves the cruise life.

Makes me wonder if corporate didn't like it.

Social media and business is complex.  Even if you don't say the wrong thing, marketing likes to be the only entity in control of all messaging.

I watched video. Sounds like his symphony contract might be the end of the road for him and Royal Caribbean. If so, its been a good run, chris!

I didn't get that sense.  To me it sounds like instead of him picking one passion over the other, he's going to balance them out more in life as long as he has the freedom to do so.

Chris Wong is young, talented and has a skill set or two that will get him far in life.

We met him last June.

Aside from the observations and experiences regarding Chris being a "nice" guy, what impressed me the most was that even though he was on his shift, he would take that split second or two to pose for a picture with cruiser-fans, while still being able to maintain his duties as a Casino host.  I mean, as a casino host, your job, amongst others, is to be the face of the casino and greet guests, but he stuck a good balance of work-related meet and greet and fan service.

I like this dude and watch his videos often, not as often as we watch Matt's YouTubes (lol), and I see a bright future for him whether with Royal or elsewhere.

I have made it onboard Symphony and have settled into my new home for the next 7 months.

Once again, I am very excited to share with you guys my adventures over the course of this contract. It was a tough decision for me to come back to work, some of you may know that I went through some difficult circumstances back home, but I am happy to be back!

Just booked our first TA while on Radiance this week, and THEN realized it was the boat Chris just joined. Excited to finally get to meet the Man, the Myth, the LEGEND after watching his videos the last several months.

I hope to get enough Casino time to finally get my points up to better comp levels.

Many of us older than you have been in that exact same crossroads in our careers and/or lives. You'll figure it out, but just don't rush to figure it out.  And whatever you decide for the 2nd half of your career, do it because you want to do it, not because you feel you have to do it because you see others around you making their own life decisions.
