AHollyS
I'm looking at the Labadee excursions. I see two options for the Dragon's Tail Coaster. There is a single ride ticket for Dragon's Tail Coaster: Single Ride $18.99 and Dragon's Tail Coaster - All Day Access $25.99. When I look at the description and important notes section I see this: "Purchase a ticket and take a person along in your cart for free! Consider physical fitness and medical history when selecting tour. " "Children between the ages of 5 and 11 may ride with their parent/guardian. " So am I reading this right, If I have a ticket I can have my kid ride with me free?
AshleyDillo
Yes..you can take a rider with you. Kids can't actually ride on their own without an adult until they are 12 I think. AHollyS
JLMoran
And to add to @AshleyDillo' reply, I strongly recommend that you (a) buy the all-day pass, and (b) make the coaster one of the first things you do when you get off the ship. I did the all-day ticket and went first thing, and I was able to ride the coaster 4 times inside half an hour. No line, no waiting. My wife and daughters (both over 12) also had the all-day pass, but waited until 2 PM to go to the coaster since they had the zip line first thing. They waited in line for almost an hour, were lucky to ride on it once. Seems people are focused on the beach and zip line and other sunny activities until the afternoon, then go to the coaster as it's in a lot of shade. cruisellama, KristiZ, AHollyS and 1 other
AshleyDillo
Agreed! Totally worth it for the all-day pass and you can rotate who rides with you. First thing you will do is check-in at the coaster and sign the activity waiver and get your wristband. You can rotate who rides with you. It's an alpine style coaster with handbrakes and it's a lot of fun. AHollyS and cruisellama 1
AHollyS
Thank you! These are just the posts I was hoping to see. This cut my excursion costs in half. I'm going to get the all day pass for both adults, and we will each take a kid with us (6 and 8 yrs). I love this message board. The experiences you share are so valuable. CrimsonCruiser
I hope you have fun! I was too scared/cautious of random turns or what not to really push it to the full speed that I don't think I really got the most enjoyment out of it. They are substituting cozumel for labadee. I would think CC the other private island would be an appropriate substitute. The whole reason I had booked Labadee was because my daughter could get off without booking an experience and our drink pckage would be useful on the island. Cozumel is completely opposite to that. I surely hope that is not where they move us. Our cruise is not till April so we shall see. AHollyS and WAAAYTOOO
AHollyS
Our itinerary just changed today. We are swapped to Nassau Bahamas. No excursion options offered at this point. I will have to research the geocaching options. JLMoran
