Plumlee2028
I had a Southern Caribbean to the ABCs from San Juan booked for January that I originally booked back in 2020. I checked prices, and they were (seems like they still are) selling without a singles supplement, so I went from about $2500 for the trip down to $950 for a 7 night. WAAAYTOOO
Repricing can be pretty confusing b/c there are so many factors that have to be considered. This is the sequence that I use to see if there has been a price drop or not : 1. Has the base price of my cruise changed ? This is the original, retail per person price before any discounts have been applied. 2. What are the current discounts ? This is the hard part. You have to be able to determine what the current offers are and that can be confusing but the bottom line is all that matters. If the base price has gone down but the current reductions are also less than your original price then there may or may not be an actual overall price reduction. Check each one to see if it still applies or if there are any new or different ones. 3. When you call make SURE that the agent applies ALL of the effective promotions and discounts. I had an issue with this very recently. The agent (this was a casino comp so I was working with a casino agent) told me that my current price was lower than the “new” price but I knew that was wrong b/c the base price had gone down and they were still offering all of the promo/discounts of my original pricing so I knew there HAD to be a reduction. After a few minutes of discussion she realized that she had not applied one of the discounts. She made that change and sure enough, the overall price went down ! This can really get confusing when you start talking about Kids Sail Free or Single Supplement pricing and since none of those ever applies to me, I’m useless ! Pooch
When the military discount for our Explorer cruise showed up, it was $620 and I had my TA jump on it. Now the discount is only about $300. So even though the other discounts may be a little higher, doesn’t make up for the difference in the military one. Bottom line is the only thing that counts. I look almost daily. CrimsonCruiser, starbrat, cruisellama and 2 others 2 2

Sayuil
Hey would someone care to explain how repricing works ? Haven’t done it before.
Pooch
Do a mock booking on your specific cruise exactly as you have booked in regards to cabin type and number of people. Go all the way through selecting your cabin & a total will appear. If it’s less than you paid, call RC or contact your TA & ask them to get you the lower price. As you can tell from this thread, it’s a pretty common request! GKMCruising

Also does the category of room should be same, like interior guarantee, 3V etc
Ampurp85
@SayuilWith the best price guarantee you can do it all the way until 48hr before sailing. As many times as you want. If it is after final payment you will get OBC, if before, it will go back to the method of payment. It has to be based on your room category, however you can upgrade and downgrade at your discretion. So if a balcony gty is cheaper than a promenade interior now, you can change and get best price.
DJnKy
I'll play. Thanks to this forum!! Two couples cruising in November, i called my TA and was given $318 credit on my credit card. Alerted our travelmates who called same TA and received $368 in on board credit. They were happy and I am happy with my credit. Both of these were after final payment. San Diego Garrett
I did a price adjustment a few days ago and although we paid our cruise in full at the 90 day mark, we got a refund instead of OBC. I had the same thing happen a few years ago with a cruise that got shortened dramatically due to Hurricane Irma. I wound up with a FCC *and* a refund - we asked Royal about it, they said anything we'd received they weren't going to take back, even if it wound up being an error / double payment. Oh, nice! I hope that's still the case. My husband keeps telling me to expect that they might take one or the other back, but I hope not!
wozswoman
So, how would you reprice a cruise when the stateroom you have booked is no longer available to compare to? We have the two bedroom grand suite booked on Enchantment in Jan 23 and there are no others available to create a mock booking. This is the only cruise that I booked with a TA, unfortunately I am going to have to stay on top of things by checking pricing. Even thought his woman has 32years in the business her follow through is atrocious.

SuperStarian
I am loving this thread! Here’s my flex! In June, I paid $1,818.08 for two ($909.04 per person) on Odyssey. In August, I received $475 OBC. This made the price $1,343.08 for two ($671.54 per person). This month, I received a $878 credit to the original form of payment. This makes the current price $465.08 ($232.54 per person). To date, I have received $1,353 ($676.50 per person) in price drops. This is a 74.4% savings from my original price. I can book another cruise with that! Unfortunately, my job does not understand the unlimited vacation policy! SPS
We booked our upcoming Odyssey cruise about a year in advance. A re-price just a week later reduced our price by $147. A SECOND re-price a week after that, reduced it by another $254 for a total savings of $401 in just two weeks. I think the real savings is the fact that we booked so far in advance.
