Lmao God help me…but yes it does. WHY I decided to throw a wedding, host guests, and film a vlog series AND write a live blog is beyond me 😂😂😂🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

Why, I'll tell you why! Because we need this, we want this. LOVE has a way of making everything so much better. @Booscruizewhen I read your posts I feel JOY! Does this mean we might get double blog/crossover episode? @Tiffeven meets @Booscruize!!!!!!!

Steven made me promise I'd take this one off from blogging.  Last cruise, I stayed up late every night making sure I blogged for the day while he went to sleep only to wake up 2 hours later and me still be up blogging.  Blogging is a ton of fun, and I plan on blogging many more in the near future, but this cruise I'm going to let @Booscruizetake point, and I am just going to be lazy haha.

While it does add more onto your already full plate, you will be glad you did when you look back and you have all the memories written down of your amazing trip.  I went back and reread one of my live blogs during the shutdown, and I was amazed how many of the little details that I had forgotten.  This will be a special way to always remember the lovely time you and your husband had with all of your friends.

I don't care *how* crazy your wish list is, it's your wedding. At least you have a good reason for it, unlike some people who I'm sure make insane requests just because they spent the big bucks and feel entitled.

Lmao to be fair it’s actually very simple and low key 😂😂😂 we are super low maintenance. Mostly just standard things like food and show reservations.  I just took the idea of “the more information the better” to heart and have even included example photos of past Star Cruise parties/cakes/tables/decor that I loved 😂😂😂 he’s gonna be like uhhhh there’s PICTURES?! 😂😂😂

One of our Genies actually had a couple request a photographer to follow them into the theater, taking pictures as they went to their front row seats so people would think they were important!😂😂. @Booscruize, you should be fine!

  • 3 weeks later...

Update: We are just 11 days from boarding Oasis for our FIRST ever Star Class cruise! Our Genie Shane scheduled a call with us yesterday and he is a GEM! He went over the protocols currently most of which we were already aware. Still bummed that the tours and classes are still a no go. But he did assure us that things  are changing daily. Also another weird thing is we have reserved tuxedos for the wedding but he informed us that this service is no longer available. HOWEVER, he said if we have ordered them and received confirmations (which we have) then we should forward those to him and see what magic he can do because this seems like a problem on their end. If not then we can bring tuxedos but we were desperately trying to avoid that hassle. Otherwise it was all good news! Our at home tests have arrived in the mail and we are off to Florida in 7 days!!

@Booscruize I have a feeling you're going to rock whatever you wear, your amazing positive attitude will shine through, just think if you waited for the 14th of November cruise all you would need is a tie & shoes! I digress, waiting patiently for some pics of the big day, I am sure that genie will make magic happen. I want your cruise to be here as much as you! Can't wait, congratulations again, Denise

ONE MORE DAY!

Today was a WHIRLWIND! A very exciting one but a whirlwind! We drove from Tampa to Miami and it was a breeze. Took us about four hours. Sadly Jarell did not get to see an alligator along Alligator Alley….there was only one and he missed it but of course I saw it LOL Oh well…looks like we gottta hit up a zoo to make up for the betrayal soon! LOL We got to our hotel (Holiday Inn Port Of Miami) around 2:30. Since check in wasn’t until 3 ( or so we thought 👀👀) we decided to grab some food at Bayside Marketplace. I’m not sure if they were giving our free $100 bills or handing out a shot for every child you bring but it was PACKED! We literally had to play a game of frogger across traffic so much traffic that is felt like a taking a Zumba class from someone with an extreme caffeine addiction. Eventually we made our way over and settled on Chilis since it had no wait and we were in DIRE need of a cocktail. A few bites and a margaritas later and it was 3:30pm and we were read to check in! So we made our way to the lobby and they informed us that the hotel was at 100% capcity and everything was behind. So sadly our room wasn’t ready yet. No big dealsince we had to drop off our rental car anyway. Eventually they called us at around 4:15 and said our room was ready. Perfect timing since we had just dropped the car and we’re READY to take on Miami! 45F76413-A623-44C4-BA1B-5E70363F1C92.thumb.jpeg.158485342e68cf29d3b65ce7d21cf45b.jpeg

We arrived at the hotel and checked into our bay view suite #711! Much like the other 7/11 I would say this hotel had a lot of amazing attributes and is SUPER convenient however….it could use a fresh coat of paint and maybe a light wash of holy water. None the less the views were FABULOUS and it was so spacious that we forgot all about the chipped paint and late check in.

As soon as we got settled it was time for dinner at The Versace Mansion! I cannot recommend this enough. The house is iconic and STUNNING and the food and service was absolutely incredible! D88B898F-429C-4EDE-BF4E-D545B1BEB6D1.thumb.jpeg.706d27efdceee5755d4e263e6da3f142.jpegD83EBDFC-B5C1-4873-AC20-5D5C4D53D217.thumb.jpeg.b4889c476667b767c8e6ce41ecbf07e2.jpeg3C8212E5-4CE5-4CA2-A0BA-2F603C41797B.thumb.jpeg.37b90906da07f042099f4aebb5d0891a.jpeg3C69A543-E9F9-4C6C-89AC-DF8DD5F34A86.thumb.jpeg.6f15c312079b6625e6c89d2cee885eb5.jpegE3D1B306-5141-4B49-BE32-235367CF6631.thumb.jpeg.cd7d0871b02d9b0e36989de6794271ad.jpegE513D438-6A8E-473F-8FDA-79780BF9EE11.thumb.jpeg.ceeab52562ca959cd9d94d422cb1ffb1.jpeg040FB92C-0521-47EC-BA23-AE880472CD2C.thumb.jpeg.a6bb74110acabbeecdbd66d13c4fed35.jpeg

Now it is almost midnight and I am WIDE AWAY with excitement wondering how I am going to go to sleep…. Tomorrow is the day!!!!

I am so very sorry that I am behind!! The Wedding and planning events and entertaining our guests has taken up ALL of my time. Literally I’ve not even seen half of the ship! Let me back track a bit!
We woke up at 4am on Sunday morning because I of course was so excited that I was wiggling my toes under the covers LOL I sprang out of bed to look out the window and try and get a glimpse of our ship….of course Oasis is the first terminal A…so there were multiple shops blocking her LOL I couldn’t go back to sleep after that so we just ended up watching tv and packing. I am NOT a morning person so I was pretty impressed with myself…and without coffee! At about 9am we walked to CVS to get $100 in one doll of bills for tips and then came back to do final packing and finally call our uber! Our Uber arrived at roughly 10:45am and we arrived to the port around 11am. We rushed passed the porters who all tried to take our bags because I had been warned that we should only relinquish them at Star Class banner. We quickly found it in all its purple glory!

After giving our bags away and checking in with the nicest young woman we were told to wait to be led up to security and then to the suite lounge to meet Shane our INCREDIBLE genie (More on him later)

Eventually we were led up and it took awhile to get through security since there was only one lane open and there was apparently a small debacle over a misfit extension cord trying to be brought on by a person ahead of us LOL No big deal nothing can ruin our day…we are going on a cruise! Once in the suite lounge we sat excitedly waiting for Shane! E4E9C67F-DFC6-4929-BBC2-BFF31BCB7ECA.thumb.jpeg.3efb8512b36b44a18ac94dae0f7a6346.jpeg

Then suddenly we looked up and like a vision in Blue…a beacon of light…a cruise Unicorn if you will…Shane was there r greet us! I cannot ever actually express how much I adore this man even after two days but I will say that I can’t imagine ANYONE else taking this wedding cruise journey with us. He is the best of the best. There….I said it!

After meeting us he brought us to the dining room to do our muster stations and it genuinely took 3 minutes. We were in and out in a flash and now it was finally time to see our suite! 1720 Star Loft! We chose this because of the balcony and the entrainment space and pictures will NEVER do it Justice!

Shane also informed us that he HAD procured our wedding tuxedos despite there being some question if it was even possible due to Covid. He is magic! He also had welcome aboard snacks eating for us!

We also ran through some of the wedding details and he gave us our weekly schedule and reservations. Then we were off to Playmakers to meet our friends for lunch. Playmakers was delicious! We had a TON of food. Basically one of everything LOL if you like sports bar food then this is for you. My burger was AMAZING! 8947ADDD-3F1B-4B8C-B807-E722404C9A75.thumb.jpeg.3df88cd81ecad1294b05400c96e28bfd.jpeg

After this we went to the Facebook group meet up! Can I just say what an INCREDIBLE group of people that were compiled in this group. The most positive, loving, FUN group of people. I can’t thank everyone enough to has come up and said hello or congrats to us. You have made our hearts smile! I also finally got to try for lava flow with kraken rum! Matt would be so proud! 327A68FB-F0F7-45EF-937B-6E5BB1035FE5.thumb.jpeg.a3bc5fc1625b8a5ee205c9c8ab44e99f.jpeg

After the meet up it was time for Sail Away party on our balcony with friends! Shane arranged for some snacks and appetizers to be delivered and we were able to give our guests the giant welcome bags we had custom made for them! They had things like thermos cups, sunglasses, towel clips, cat ears for when we see CATS LOL, fans etc etc. 6510608F-B3DD-48F8-854C-C4D8683ED6F7.thumb.jpeg.38f221eb996f9a09c1ac6020f17bee7a.jpeg

Sail away was amazing. We sailed at 6 so there was time for us all to have cocktails and mingle before our 8pm dinner at Coastal Kitchen!

We were really excited to eat at Coastal for the illustrious and sometimes controversial Filet! I must say…it was the BEST dang filet I have had on any ship! That sauce was OUT OF THIS WORLD and I’d venture to say that I could have cut it with a spoon!
Burrata was fresh and delicious and not too heavy

Tomato soup was a real treat and the smokiness added a real depth of flavor! I also loved the pour over service! 5A38A352-D145-47C6-9939-085AFC31FA48.thumb.jpeg.cd7600175a800562dcb08dfedef421b5.jpeg

After dinner we returned to the room to find that Shane had left us amazing beach bags for CocoCay! I love them so much I refused to use them because I want to save them to use at home LOL3EB3ED4F-86EB-4CE2-A64B-984A354B0C79.thumb.jpeg.06e5f91204b261c2021c5cc2832a59c0.jpeg

Then we were off to the ice show! Now listen…I love Hans Christian Andersen as much as the next thirty something but I will say this story/choice wasn’t be FAVORITE theming. However the TALENT and amazing passion from the performers had me leaping to my feet. What they can do on ice is astounding! After the ice show it was nearly midnight and we were SO exhausted by the day we had to go to bed! I will stop here for now since it’s 2am and my husband (yay I can say husband) is snoring beside me LOL

p.s. Props to you live bloggers who manage to do this without falling behind!

This blog is just wonderful.  I love your “happy” attitude, even when the theme of the ice show was not your favorite, you still found the positives.  You rock!!

Thank you so much and that means a lot. I think that when you’re on vacation there is ALWAYS a silver lining and positives if you look for them. We have just been glowing every second on this ship.

I agree about the filet, funny thing was some people in my party thought the garlic chips were "shrooms" and refused to eat them until I corrected them. I do find it to be a smidge too much sauce but that spinach that comes with them is.......**chefs kiss***

I am also glad you are married and having the time of your life. Those bags are so cute!

OK...I am following now.  I got off the Oasis on Sunday and am just now catching up on everything.  We also stayed at the Holiday Inn Port of Miami the night before we cruised.  It really is in a great location...and I agree it needs a bit of a face-lift!  But it served it's purpose!

So now I will read along as your journey progresses.  I am excited for you both and can't wait to see lots more pictures.

Be sure to check out The Passing Zone juggling performance!  It is fantastic.  Jon and Owen are absolutely phenomenal.
