skittermagoo
In changing my stateroom on my upcoming Adventure of the Seas cruise, I was comparing the ocean view balcony to the "spacious" ocean view balcony staterooms . . . it seems (unless I am missing something) that the "spacious" rooms are only 5 sq ft bigger, and the balcony is actually 4 sq ft smaller . . . (screenshot below). That doesn't seem like that big of a difference to me . . . not that I'm going to change anything at this point, but I'm curious why the different designation -- do those 5 square feet really make a huge impact? Am I missing something here? (This will be my first cruise, so I may be naive here, but I think I'd rather have the balcony be a titch bigger anyway)
MrB
By description, yes. "Spacious" allows for 4 guests and non-spacious is limited to 3. I would assume that the room is configured slightly different so that the furniture required for 4 guest fits. So, bigger sofa. In normal, double-occupacy mode, I can't see that it makes a huge difference. WAAAYTOOO and skittermagoo
CrznTxn
Moved to a "Spacious" on an earlier cruise and really did not see the difference other than it was in a better place on the ship than our other room. Did not really notice the additional space but honestly we are rarely in the room.
Pooch
Got a spacious balcony for hubby, 10 year old grandson and myself. It was anything but. So cramped I wouldn’t even let the room steward pull out the sofa bed. Never again! WAAAYTOOO

A spacious OV stateroom has a total of 245 sq ft. From the difference in price that I've seen, that is a very expensive 1 square foot of space skittermagoo and WAAAYTOOO
Heymarco
I’m that class of ship, difference is normally between love seat and full couch. Spacious rooms get the couch and couple extra feet to go with it. skittermagoo
