Booking future cruise while onboard

What are advantages of booking next cruise while onboard....are deposits reduced?

Generally deposits are less than booking direct or thru a TA and OBC is offered.

I'm sure this is in Matt's blog post, but also know that if you like a particular travel agent, you can transfer the reservation to them after you get off the boat.  You have 60 days to do so.

I've done this a coupe of times. What I like is you have a much better selection of the available cabins, especially if you like an aft cabin. Also, preference on dining options.

All of the above and you  are dealing with a  person whom is very knowledgeable  about the ships and the itineraries unlike a lot of the agents you will have answering your call at the  reservation center. Occasionally you may be lucky to get one that is very knowledgeable.   Doing a future cruise credit is also an option to do as well.  We have done both together on a couple of occasions.  After you are home you can transfer those reservations to your travel agent which we do and then we are fortunate to obtain additional on board credits as well in addition to the ones we have already received.
