There is a new discount this morning on the RCCL website. I booked Anthem yesterday and repriced this morning on the RCCL website, Yep it was $100 dollars less. When I called they tried telling me I wasn't able to apply that discount, that's when I said I just repriced it online. After some back and forth with "the manager" I was granted the $100 less. BTW Final payment is in a few days, feeling techno geeky good. No worries Royal Caribbean, I will give you back that $100 in the form of CHOPS and another prime restaurant. Note: I already had a good resident discount and the another discount applied. I guess their coder missed this one. Anyway. The old adage of "book early and often", well this is his cousin. butterfly Posted September 15, 2016 Report Share Posted September 15, 2016 Yes I too saved! I booked a while ago for an upcoming 8 day November oasis cruise. Final payment was in September. I originally booked an inside room hoping to get an oceanview upgrade, as I have in the past. Checked prices today, was shocked to see oceanview staterooms were cheaper than what I paid for my inside. Called RC was told I could get oceanview for no additional charge but they couldn't refund the money I was out of. I was ok with that. I was excited to get oceanview until the customer service rep who was super nice told me I could actually get a balcony guarantee for 236 dollars less than what I paid for the inside but again the $236 was not refundable. I was perfectly fine with this. After hanging up excited, I thought.... We never pay our gratuities upfront we wait until on the ship. I called back and was able to pay our gratuities $209 with the remaining $236. So now we have a $21.00 credit which will probably go towards the soda package. I am super excited!! A balcony guarantee is taken a risk but I'm not at all worried. We have stayed in many staterooms including under a casino. We never have had issues with staterooms.
