Tracelets…. Gone?!

Or data gathered suggested the tracelets weren't working as expected, or they were working too good, and the data shows that there are more cost efficient ways to contact trace.

They've been using them for months and months in Singapore.  You would think if they learned lessons that suggested any of that they never would have implemented them here.

It's possible RC found that the biometric tracing was just as effective, so no need to continue with the cost of tracelets.

In the US, Royal used facial recognition from security cameras for contact tracing before any tracelets found their way here

I'm hearing from Royal that tracelets will be offered on Spectrum and Quantum while in Singapore, due to government requirements.

On other ships, tracelets are not being used in favor of contact tracing through CCTV cameras.  Royal uses special software that takes a bit longer (~15 minutes) to process contact tracing using video instead of tracelets (near instant), but at far less of a cost and with very similar results.
