Cruiser58
If you only have time for a 7 day Alaskan cruise, what is the consensus: a one way cruise, or a round trip. I'm guessing the one way cruise may give you more time at each location, but there is a hassle factor of 2 different airports.
Matt
I hate flying, so I'd pick the roundtrip cruise. But the open jaw sailing itinerary is superior. How to choose the right Alaska cruise itinerary Cruiser58
whitsmom
We did the Northbound and is was amazing! As we were on the inside passage, we actually had AT&T cell reception almost the entire trip (We were pleasantly surprised about this). barbeyg
We did southbound, and loved it! We are currently booked roundtrip next year to save time flying, and the hassle of two one-way flights. We will do a one-way again, but are waiting for retirement to do so. That way, we can stay in AK for a few weeks before the cruise. Cruiser58
Vancity Cruiser
Another option is to do a B2B, turning it into a 14 day round trip Yo2slick, Rob&Ana and KristiZ
Linda R
I think the 1 way gives you a better view of Alaska, as you go farther up the coast and see different, usually larger, glaciers. I always do one way or do the 1 way B2B.
Chadster
If I could find a way to efficiently and economically pull off the flight, I'd definitely do a one-way. As it stands now, though, I've got a round-trip 7-day planned for May of '22 that's supposed to include several glaciers.
twangster
One way are better because you don't backtrack and you see more Alaska. Booking flight as two one-way tickets can sometimes save money. The round trip from Seattle are also great cruises that let experience Alaska and usually a glacier somewhere along the route so if one of those is working out better your family don't skip them out of FOMO. mjb1127

I booked our flights through Air2Sea for our Southbound Radiance. $812 “round trip.” That’s Florida to DFW to Anchorage. Then Vancouver to DFW to Florida. Cheaper if we went through Atlanta but it was a 4 hour layover.
