Ken Jensen
Just boarded the Ovation, when we tried to make reservations for dinner we found out that almost all the venues were booked for the whole cruise. We were able to get in but not at the times we would have liked and not at the mix we would have preferred. The restaurants are all operating at reduced capacities. Jill
How soon after boarding did you try to make reservations?
Ken Jensen
About 30 minutes. It appears that you have to book the venues on the apt before hand

With the UDP, I was hoping to be a little spontaneous for my upcoming cruise.
BrianB
Unfortunately, it seems limited capacity ruined spontaneity. Good luck!
Matt
I firmly believe the lack of the Windjammer for dinner is adding extra demand for specialty dining. Essentially people that were gonna eat at WJ are now skipping MDR and just booking specialty. I have no real evidence to back this up, just a gut feeling. Ampurp85
@Matt I was thinking the same thing. The fact that specialty reservations are so hard to come by with limited capacity seems odd. We plan to eat at CK for all our meals and do Izumi and Sabor for lunch. Personally I like the MDR but the timing is just rough, sometimes its a 2hr affair. This is what I did for my upcoming Odyssey cruise in October. Not counting on the WJ for dinners....
