Shari
Even though it is after final payment I checked my fare price for the October cruise. The price had dropped so I called and got $445 in on board credit through the cruise with confidence program. So check your prices regularly. Or is there something else you need to do to use the CWC program this close to sailing and after final payment?

I did a "ghost" cruise on line to check the price and when I saw the change I just called. I booked the cruise on line so I was able to call them directly and request the OBC through the cruise with confidence program. If you used a TA you will need to have them call. CrimsonCruiser
This would have been the first year I tried to do it....then i got switched from Indy to Odyssey and there is just no way the price I paid is ever gonna get lower. lmao But I'll for sure keep it in mind for the next times! I'd check anyway. We have a cruise that we are pretty well within the final payment and with our three rooms in the party we saved the following amounts last night: $42 - inside cabin $125 - inside cabin with a senior discount $239 -- Balcony (the category was even sold out and they got the discount) All i did was ask and our TA was able to get it done. Easy peezy. i'll check again right up until about 3 days before we sail, just in case. Shari and JLMoran

FManke
You should also check the prices of other cabin categories. Even though it's a year plus away, GS on our Greek Isle cruise next Oct are currently cheaper than JS by like $500 pp and a OS is only $700 more than a JS! You never know. Happy Cruising! SpeedNoodles
Yeah, the last time I checked, the price difference between what I paid and what it was on my Odyssey Owner's Suite was $8k, so I don't even check ever, lol. starbrat
I called a couple weeks ago and our SC suite price had went down. Final payment has not yet been made so we saved $980. My husband thought I was wasting everyone’s time calling till he heard how much I saved. I had to walk over and lift his chin up off the ground. I hadn't checked this week (family medical emergency and I'm stressed), and YOU just made my week. I checked our Harmony cruise Dec 2022, and got $756 off of our GS. We don't usually sail in a GS unless the price is right, but this lower rate makes the price even more awesome. Now if only the Crown Loft price would come down..... Wilson
For those that had the price drop after final payment, how long did it take to see the onboard credit in your cruise planner?

It took a bit for the TA to submit the form, then for Royal to accept it, and then to hit the planner. For us it was about 12 hours from the time I emailed the TA. I called on the 22nd of July and was told that the OBC would show up in 24 hours. It did not show in cruise planner. I finally called today (29 July) and was told that it would not show up in the cruise planner but would be added to my sea pass card when we board the ship. I was also told that if we do not use all of the OBC that our credit card would be credited the unused amount. So you may not see the OBC from after final payment fare drop in your cruise planner. Pooch
My new cruise, Explorer in October 2022, went down $100 today. Just booked Monday! My MEI agent made the change for me right away. MicDay
We just saved $346 on next months cruise. Thank you!!! I emailed my wonderful TA Kelley but she was getting a totally different number, hers was way higher. I sent a screenshot and she sent a screenshot, same cruise, two totally different cost! She still submitted the form and I now have $346 OBC. It took about 15 minutes, crazy fast. Shari

KaydenDeen
Thanks for the information! This is the first time I’ve booked directly with RCI. Your post literally saved me $200 today! When I called to inquire, they said that I could call as much as I wanted before the sail date should the price drop again. But they also said that it may take 2 weeks for them to review it and to credit my account. Many, many sincere thanks! PPPJJ-GCVAB
Guess I was lucky enough to get really great prices for my currently booked cruises...nothing cheaper is showing up! WAAAYTOOO
I have had 2 price drops in the past 2 weeks on our Dec. 22, 2022 Oasis cruise. Not that much money ($364 total) but considering this is a Christmas cruise, very much appreciated and fairly unusual. Shari
Just repriced my 10 October cruise and they submitted the form for a second price adjustment after final payment. I have to check back in 14 business days to verify it was approved. We will go from $445 in OBC from last adjustment to $966 in OBC for this one. Once again check your fare price regularly!
