Julie
I saw a good price for an obstructed balcony on Oasis of the Seas, but I am curious how obstructed is obstructed?
dejagatkins
I didn't realize there were obstructed balconies on Oasis. Interested when someone answers this question. :-D
cordlea
I would do a quick google search. A few obstructed balcony view pics came up for Anthem. I know you asked for Oasis but I'm sure you can find some.
CruiseLifeRick
Julie, Would you happen to know if the balcony is a "neighborhood" balcony? I know Royal designates some of the Boardwalk Deck 14 balcony cabins as obstructed as you are unable to view the ocean aft due to the bridge on Deck 15 (Wipe Out Bar area). KLA
"Obstructed", as I understand, many times ends up meaning "you might see a life boat along with the ocean in your window to some degree".
Matt
In my experience, "obstructed" has meant there is some angle blocked. Not like you have no view at all, just some viewing angle is obstructed. As an example, there is a lifeboat below your room, so if you were to peer out and look down, you cannot see everything because of the lifeboat. CruiseLifeRick
Julie, As I indicated above, Boardwalk View balcony staterooms 14317-14325 on the port side and 14717-14725 on the starboard side are designated as obstructed views for the aft ocean view "obstruction." You will still have great views of the Boardwalk and Aqua Theater. In addition, Central Park view balcony staterooms 14217 and 14617 are also designated as obstructed views due to their proximity to the pool bridge on Deck 15. There does not appear to be any ocean view balcony staterooms that are considered to have obstructed views. Matt
WAAAYTOOO
What is the cabin number and I will look it up on Cruise Deck Plans and see if there is any notation.
DocLC
In general, the obstructions on Royal are not as bad as on other lines. When I last had an obstructed balcony room, the obstruction was below the balcony, meaning you simply couldn't look directly down at the ocean.
